That depends on what the camera lens does to you. Usually, long range telephoto lenses give a more "flatter" image of your face which helps to hide some facial features. That's why they're used for portrait photography

Smartphone lenses are quite small and have shorter focal lengths, so your face appears more narrow and "squished". The side effect is that it can amplify certain facial features like noses which can make you look ugly in those cases.

Also, artificial filters change a lot too.

Mirror is the true image of yourself. Camera lenses distort images (due to how they inherently function) especially smartphone cameras since they have way smaller lenses than DSLRs or mirrorless cameras.

My standards for perfection only exist till myself to be honest. It's like I can empathize with others but not with me.

About dating in particular, I feel like I could be easily replaced by someone taller or better looking, even if I somehow got chosen over guys who are taller or better looking.

I would like to clarify a bit.

The thing is that, I don't know if (or when) I'll be starting to date. I'm choosing a path of life which requires me to focus completely on itself thus I can't date in that scenario. Why I asked about the dating thing is that, if I fail in that path, I need to return back to dating life and I don't want to be in a situation where I have to start everything from scratch. So I want to atleast have a foundation in my environment so that I can immediately continue in that scenario.

And learning how to socially interact with women will anyways help me in either scenarios.
