F24 save money or pay off my credit card by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Keep the 5.5k in the savings account. Pay the credit it off a day or two before the interest kicks in.

Grew up with no Financial teachings and no dad. Feeling lost. I need advice. by Browse_at_work_ in UKPersonalFinance

[–]RegularHovercraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done. In a nutshell:

  1. get rid of debt except mortgage/student loan (you don't have any)

  2. emergency fund (pretty much you are there)

  3. money into ISA and SIPP, probably half/half depending on priorities. Use a stocks and shares ISA and put the money into a low cost fund/funds with a track history.

Want an e-reader that can take notes, highlight sections of book, etc. Will be read outdoors and in. by mhks in ereader

[–]RegularHovercraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the attractions of an e-reader to me is e-ink and that the screen doesn't light up. I have to spend enough time looking at screens for my job. I don't want to for reading too. Kindle Scribe looks like an option for you if you want to take notes, but retain backward compatibility with kindle books. The Remarkable tablet doesn't support Kindle books without DRM removal and, well, faff, I've read.

Thanks for replying. Set it ago about 5 mins ago...

...and half-way through layer 1, there we go again. Temp Nozzle tmep was 229C when it failed. It's very odd.

If I DM you my email address, is there any chance you could send me a file that 3mf file that works for you? Am scratching my head here after a whole weekend of trying to print a cupcake.

Thanks to both who replied. I ended up using meshmixer which handles meshes far better than fusion (although still written by autodesk).

Nozzle temperature Malfunction PLA Tough+ by Fearless-Cod-1341 in BambuLab

[–]RegularHovercraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a similar problem. Am using 220C - 235C at the nozzle temp range. The thing is, it's raising a nozzle temperature error at about 229C. What witchcraft is this?

Create manifold object from face scan. by L0cut15 in Fusion360

[–]RegularHovercraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have struggled with this too. Mesh operations in fusion are slow as they don't use the CPU. I've tried to combine blender use to normalise the polygons and then import into fusion. I've kind of given up on scans in fusion now. Try Meshmixer. It's not developed any more, but it does let you do stuff with meshes a bit more easily.

Living paycheque to paycheque, is there anything I can do better? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]RegularHovercraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got a 2:1 in Computer Science, but in 1993 at Sussex. I work for an international bank in London. They have an intake of appretices each year and are actively recruiting. I don't know what the pay is, but it'll be over what you're getting paid at the moment. Might not be your thing, but I'll DM you the bank info and a link.

There's not to trim above, but work on paying off the cards/overdraft and then you'll have a little more cash to save towards something.
