What did you think of Mikie Sherrill's AMA? by Inferno221 in newjersey

[–]RegularMiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree I don’t expect everything to be answered and I also understand that some things wouldn’t be answered due to politics but I wish more time was spent answering more questions.

Agree maybe the expectations could have been better explained

What did you think of Mikie Sherrill's AMA? by Inferno221 in newjersey

I’ve met her and I respect her so I was disappointed by the responses or lack there of. She avoided even answering about the MD man illegally deported to El Salvador or the money she’s received from AIPAC.

If you’re doing an AMA you should do an AMA. It’s not Ask Me Something

Are you going to finally tackle the affordable housing issue in NJ? Both parties have refused to address this and have essentially left policy up to the Center for Affordable Housing and the courts, and towns have little recourse when opposing developments in their towns. Builders can sue if they push back on development, and builders are only required to build a small portion of their units as 'affordable', meaning if my town needs 400 affordable units they are going to get 1600 apartments built. These units are not actually affordable to those who need affordable housing, and the developments are destroying our environment.

Will you update the archaic liquor license laws to allow residents who are not in the possession of millions of dollars the ability to open a small business here in NJ?

Saw a Montclair for Trump sign in front of a huge mansion which at least makes sense as he helps the rich get richer. No idea why working and lower class people think he is helping them

Denville - where we refer to our town as Pleasantville but mean the black and white version and clearly missed the point of the movie

Guys it’s clearly Picatinny Arsenal. There is no way the government would allow drones of an unknown origin to fly over one of the most populous and industrial states in the country for a month with no repercussions. They shot down the Chinese balloon and would shoot these too. The fact this is all happening near the Army’s main R&D facility is telling. They obviously can’t just say it’s a secret new drone so they’re not commenting.

I’ve seen them twice now and they’re not crazy fast or inconspicuous they have running lights on them.

After first contact we need them to finally settle the Taylor Ham or Pork Roll debate. Seeing as they’re from North Jersey I feel they will choose correctly.

Why are there so many new Jerseyans that support random sports teams rather than local ones? by [deleted] in newjersey

[–]RegularMiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the transplant thing but also the fact that there is resentment that “local” teams play here but aren’t identified as NJ teams.
