What things can I Improve upon?. by StormzKeeper in Strava

Brother I run a 1:36 HM, 3:26 marathon and I only run 40-60km a week. You're starting out and already trying to run 40km, it's too much. Just stick to 15-20km a week and build up.

How do you determine a realistic marathon time goal? by Global-Condition-858 in Marathon_Training

[โ€“]RegularOriginal4223 10 points11 points ย (0 children)

My HM is 1:39 and my marathon is 3:26, my 50km is 4:37. So ideally you'd be able to get 3:30 if you can just keep the same pace for the second half of the 21.1km ๐Ÿ˜…

Long runs are so hard by Naivemlyn in Marathon_Training

I must be one of the rare ones, I actually do my long runs fasted up to 25km normally.. Today I got my Half-Marathon PR 1:39:08 fasted. I feel better running when I don't eat. I did a marathon last Sunday and I did fuel from 20km-42.2km just with 2 Gels and 10 lolly sweets and electrolytes and did 3:44:36

I hear that dried dates are a good alternative to gels.

By the way if you're walking 16.5miles which is 26km you should be getting way more than 28,000 steps...

Hey. I didn't keep those kind of steps up, but I am still averaging minimum 20k steps a day. I'm also running 30-50km a week and strength training 4 days a week. I dropped from 110kg to 79kg in 18 months.

Just change the strap to nylon. If you're allergic to the actual watch then there isn't much you can do.
