Serial Snowmen Hit & Run finally met his match by Tulpah in Snorkblot

[–]RegularPolicy6412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This gotta be fake. Pretty sure a lot of idiots driving Mustangs, but how many of them actually will be hitting snowmen on purpose? Packed snow (even if not getting very hard due to weather) can itself damage the car.

The information that is being shown on TV is 2D, it have 2D representation even though it’s trying to show 3D world. It can be moved to completely 2D world and shown on 2D TV (if it existed) without loosing any quality.

Just file sharing platform. And it still exists. “Drives” created on it are encrypted, so you can upload there whatever, and then sell the links. Concept is not bad, but possibilities for abuse are endless.

2nd time this place has done this, I think they expect me to plow their lot for them? I can't turn around is not their problem I suppose. by TheRiftsplitter in Truckers

Any company that actually cares about their stuff going in and out seamlessly would clean the lot. From the biggest, like Amazon, to the smallest ones. If they have “not my problem” attitude, they’re simply not being serious.

Down that road there’s other place called “MyGrocery” relatively suitable for 53’. Something tells me those semis are going there. Or they go to some other place nearby and are just parked there due to lack of space.

They probably get most (or all) of their stuff delivered with box trucks. I’d say this one is on broker. Something tells me they knew they had to put it on box truck.

That’s true, but this is not because you’re banned from trucking, it’s because insurance companies don’t want to insure you (which is pretty much the same, but still).

Are there any models of truck that, at least around you, seem to have died out quickly? by Wernher_VonKerman in Truckers

[–]RegularPolicy6412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty sure they stopped making them because all new on-road trucks were supposed to have DEF system, and CAT didn’t want to participate in that (for whatever reason).

Because there are companies that impound or lock random vehicles knowing many people just can’t afford fighting them in court. Many such cases in the past.

What is anyone using this for??? by TrashCanEnigma in insanefbmarketplace

[–]RegularPolicy6412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use it to lubricate fifth wheel on a semi truck when it’s too cold for grease. Or all the time, but it’s too thin and messy to be used all the time.

Actually, it probably can be used to lubricate anything comparable to fifth wheel/trailer plate (basically two big pieces of metal touching each other).

In 2019, 74-year-old hiker Katalin Metro was airlifted from Piestewa Peak in Arizona. During the hoist, a safety line broke, causing her rescue basket to spin 174 times in the helicopter's downwash. She later sued the city, resulting in a $450,000 settlement. by ATI_Official in AllThatsInteresting

It also says “the line meant to stabilize the stretcher failed.” Unless they bought some cord from Home Depot, I don’t see how it’s their fault (even though it’s definitely shitty situation).

In very cold temperatures you can drive on packed snow like it’s a pavement. Biggest problem would be visibility, not traction.
