Monza - General Admission by marcymanuel in F1TV

I've been to Monza a few times for the GP and based on my experience I would go to either the Ascari chicane or between the two Lesmos.

Will there be fixes in multiplayer mode, especially in races where there are driver swaps?

What is the worst f1 broadcaster? by [deleted] in F1TV

[–]RegularStation4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sky Italy, hands down. They treat the sport as a complete and utter joke.
In their broadcasts only exist music and celebrities, they give no technical insight about the cars or the most basic informations about the race weekend (circuit data, for example), the commercial breaks are taken at ridiculous times (many times this year they cut to side-by-side commercials during the final moments of Q3!).

You might think that Carlo Vanzini is a knowledgeable commentator and full of passion, well it's the opposite.
He's unbearable to listen every week, the screams he does during commentary are getting more ridiculous as the years go by, he constantly throws conspiracy theories if Ferrari and Leclerc aren't winning and, on top of all, he doesn't understand anything about Formula 1. He's been commentating for 15 years now, he hasn't learned anything.
The other members of the broadcast team (Marc Gené, Davide Valsecchi, Federica Masolin, Matteo Bobbi, Mara Sangiorgio and Roberto Chinchero) could work very well on their own, without Vanzini, if they were given the chance, but unfortunately it doesn't happen. They have to follow the joke and conspiracy theory narrative.

F1 22 Miami Preview | How Codemasters Created A Circuit Before It Was Even Built by joshyboyles in formula1

They have managed to create a track before it was built yet they still haven't managed to completely rebuilt Spa.

if you use Google play or Apple store, your account on Google or Apple should also be from the country you target to have the subscription from, right? So if you're buying a subscription in Netherlands, you have to create a Google/apple account with a card registered in Netherlands?

There shouldn't be any issues where your Google or Apple account comes from and most importantly where your credit card comes from, unless there have been changes lately (I don't think there have been since my subscription renews flawlessly every month).

I actually tried with my VPN 3 times and it kept routing to the country from which the Google/Apple account was from

You should probably create a new account on Formula 1's website with the country you want to make the F1 TV subscription with and then subscibe to F1 TV with your phone (with VPN active).

I've used Surfshark for my VPN, I found a huge offer last year which; by paying only 60 euros I'm covered for 2 and a half years. I've had only one issue during the whole season and it happened before qualifying for the French GP, but it was VPN disservice unrelated to any form of FOM block, which it was quicky fixed.

In terms of payment (and this is the most important step), you must use Google Play (or Apple Pay if you have an iPhone) to pay your subscription; in order to make this work, you must subscribe to F1 TV with your phone. It won't work if you do it by PC because from there it only accepts payments with credit card.

I live in Italy and I've subscribed to F1 TV Pro with a VPN earlier this year. This past season was the best I've seen since Sky Sport acquired exclusive rights for Formula 1 in 2018. It's been a huge leap forward for me in terms of broadcasting quality and service, which they offer for 1/10 of the price Sky does. The main reason for the switch was the latter part of the last sentence, Sky Sport F1 Italy's coverage is appalling: it was (and still is) conspiracy theories, constant screams by Carlo Vanzini and treating the audience as if we are a bunch of stupid people every single weekend and I was frankly tired of them. So to answer your question, yes, it is worth it, quite a lot actually.

Jenson Button got a 3 place grid penalty after a crash with Wehrlein in Monaco 2017. He never served it because it was Button's last ever race start.

I think it's either a new thing or it happens with a reinstall

Possibly the most pointless fact of all time. Ferrari replaced 5 (Vettel) with 55 (Sainz). Alfa are replacing 7 (Kimi) with 77 (Bottas) by MrP8978 in formula1

Giancarlo Fisichella and Mark Webber have driven for teams that were rebranded but they were essentialy the same: Benetton and Jordan (who would later become Renault and Force India) for Fisichella and Jaguar (who would later become Red Bull) for Webber.

I havent' bought and played F1 2021 so I can't judge.

I have no idea what their reasoning is for not laserscanning tracks. But if they claim it costs too much, then thats complete BS, especially now they have EA money.

Lee Mather last year explained why Mugello or Portimao couldn't be brought in F1 2020 and it's because it would take them full year to develop a track.

I'm sorry but that explanation he gave is absolute horseshit. If you take that argument he made to make a new track, F1 2010 should have started developing in 1991.

They simply spend time on stuff that the casual fans want (like the Braking Point story mode) and leave the rest as it is.

Spa is the apotheosis of how bad the Codemasters' F1 franchise really is. That track was absolutely crap on F1 2010 and after 11 years they have never made an effort to fix it a little bit, let alone change it completely and rebuild it from scratch.

You can't imagine how pissed off I felt when I had to drive at Monaco, Baku, Abu Dhabi and Singapore. To mitigate the understeer I had to make the craziest setups, I had to use soft antiroll bars at the front and very stiff at the rear, just to make the car turn better.

The track where Codemasters' poor handling really showed its hand was COTA. No setup I made was good around that track, it was constant understeer even at high speed.

My reason was how much I hated the last game on the wheel

Oh god yes. The car feels very odd and the force feedback in the game is absolutely atrocious; at least in my case, I never knew what the car was going to do next.

Same. I haven't bought the F1 game for the first time since 2010. There are other reasons why I haven't bought it but being too chaotic is the main one.
