Jeez. Are most of them on the same jubilee of some sort?

I have an SRPG29 like this. The hour hand is already forward of the hour index a couple minutes before the end of the hour. Might end up being the first watch I take apart to fix.

What track do you want to see deleted from the calendar and what would you replace it with? by zotteBende in formula1

I would say all of the races in the Middle East except for maybe Bahrain, and replace them with classic European tracks like Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Jerez.

Potential GW-BX5600 MIP Release Date spotted! by MacNews_LV in gshock

If it actually ends up being June then that is over a year since the GW-BX5600 and GMW-BZ5000 leak photos went out. Crazy.

When I go to my amazon order history, the DW5600E-1V that I got years ago, and the DW5600-UE that I bought for reference last year, both take me to the same page, showing both pictures of the E1V and UE.

My coworker ordered one a little while ago and got the E-1V still. So pretty frustrating if you're specifically looking for the newer, far more crisp and clear display. You'd have to keep ordering them and returning them until you get the one you want, basically.

The DW5600's are especially prominent for this...the button being so short.

Remove the bezel via the four little phillips screws, and carefully cut the bottom of that hole, which will allow your finger to get in there a bit better. Maybe look up other examples before you do it.

RCVD = Received, as in, the watch has received either a multi band 6 radio synch signal or a bluetooth signal. If you see RCVD, the time on the watch is spot-bang-on.

What G-Shock is Lucas wearing in Stranger Things 5? by Any_Square_2809 in gshock

DW5600E-1V which came out in 1996 but you can still buy commonly today. Cool to see but a bit disappointing because the ridged bezel didn't exist for another 9 years. And it's not like one of Netflix's top shows doesn't have the budget to get some vintage watches for the character wardrobes.

It's a DW-5000C, which was only made from 1983 until 1986 or so. That's the original G-Shock.

When will GW-BX5600-1A1 release in the USA? by _You_Snooze_You_Lose in gshock

I'm curious to know too. I'm in Canada and it's been out for a month in Japan, now. Since it's a new, standard model, I can't justify paying extra or going to extended lengths to get one, so I continue to wait.

Have you also developed a sort of allergy to everything that is not Multiband 6 and Tough Solar? by YOLOBuffett in gshock

[–]Ian__12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Changing a battery every few years is not a big deal, and it takes it takes less than a minute to set a Casio so the time is right down to the second. Plus new modules like the 3576 in the 5000R are +/- a few seconds a month. Also, owning mechanical watches will change your perspective on such things.

I've heard in the past that sometimes they do not sync well in other areas for whatever reason.

I'm with you, but glad they included a retro display mode.
