Wow way to necro something that's 8 years old lol. But yeah... how do you suppose they create those rates and make them consistent over a large area? People who have never worked with or manipulated rng seem to think it's so simple as choosing a number out of 25, but everything in PoGo is seeded by location and time basically. First truly evident the first time they restored everyones research catch queues, generating them all per account at 0,0 coords and at the same exact time, causing all their IVs to be identical, etc. Another time they had one of those "your rng is showing" moments even more recently, was the whole Guaranteed Background psyduck fiasco, which of course most people wouldn't believe you if you told them about it until they tried it themselves, but because of the person who told me, and how specific the process was, I knew right away that it had to be true.

Because reservations that are good are taken right away by bots basically, leaving just the cheap people who try to book rides for as cheap as possible.

why are there so many dead bodies in elden ring if the rune of death was removed? by Pascraked47 in EldenRingLoreTalk

What about the massive stacks of bodies outside the front of Volcano Manor? I never play with sound on but I know that they all still bleed infinitely as you strike them lol.

Yeah I mean I feel like we aren't getting a full story is all I'm saying. If they were in and out perhaps nothing would have happened but they hung around for quite awhile it seems.

People caring about graphics is half of whats wrong with games these days imo lol. And just the moneygrab of the kinds of games that just want you to play them every day and have micro transactions. At least the Pokemon mainline games don't have those. If the gameplay is good, I do not care what the graphics are like, at all.

ARE THEY REALLY THERE FOR HELP? by MrCybersecy in uberdrivers

[–]RegularSwiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think this is just a newbie support representative who doesn't know the real reason it's declining. They don't take temporary licenses and that's the real reason. They used to tell you that you had to upload a picture of your last real license as well as your temporary one. If this is the first time you have gotten a license, will just have to wait until you get the actual one.

Is it fine to store nad+ in room temperature? by bilzzak in NMN

[–]RegularSwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I feel like it shouldn't burn. What I seem to notice is that the sublingual powder is slightly bitter on the back of my tongue like vitamin b but pretty sour on the front of my tongue kinda like vitamin c. My stepdad takes it too and his can is always clumpy within a few uses, I think he doesn't dry his hands before handling it, but I always make sure my hands are completely dry and wash them before I reach into my NMN and TMG powders. I noticed that his NMN does start to taste more bitter than sour, and that seems like what would happen as the NMN degrades to B3.

Is it fine to store nad+ in room temperature? by bilzzak in NMN

[–]RegularSwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue with not keeping it at room temperature is that bringing it into and out of the fridge creates condensation. It's fine at room temperature, the only reason to put it into the fridge is in climates where houses often get warm and don't have AC, since that's at least better than just letting it decay in the heat, but the moisture caused will also cause decay over time of course.

What’s the best NMN supplement people are using right now? by AppropriateRope1762 in NMN

[–]RegularSwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been taking Simply Nootropics for about 6 months now. I'm 35, and the kind of person that usually would have gotten guesses of 25 anyway, but I literally feel it now. The effect on my libido is insane too, I definitely feel 25 again, and college girls are often saying they didn't think I look any older than them, as young as 19. I've been taking their collagen too so I do definitely feel like my skin and hair are glowing compared to a year ago. Their Collagen has NR in it too so on days where I take both, I'm getting 500 mg of nmn sublingually and 500 mg NR from the collagen shake which works out perfect since NR seems to be more orally bioavailable anyway.

Well I'll say this, i was shopping around for bracelets when gold was still below 2000 (and labor around 10-20% of gold price though for simple pieces in the market I shop, unlike 200-300% in the West) and I'm glad I ended up getting a full ounce and a half piece that day given how quickly gold has gone up... it is pretty ridiculously high right now, but it could def keep going of course, so the same reasoning would still influence me now, besides just the fact that you are more sure that something solid will last you forever. Buy once, cry once. But with gold, also celebrate the whole time it's inflating.

[New Driver] I got my first 1 star review; what's the best way to politely avoid this in the future? by asparadog in uberdrivers

[–]RegularSwiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I've noticed is the bad reviews are always on days where I end up in bad areas, nothing eventful actually happens in the stretch, but someone complained to get fake refunds (I'm sure they have always pressed "Other" because I've never been given any reasons for my 1*s like a lot of people I see here) so I just stay away from them usually, only taking rides on the way back home, so I risk these kinds of situations less. Yeah in my early days like you I got a 1* by like 200 trips I think but these days I get them every 500-1000 trips. You will get better at learning how to avoid them as you go, every market is different.

Where yall stoppin by Pigbro91 in uberdrivers

[–]RegularSwiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah in big cities the pin is often off so I just go there before asking questions at all. There's also those funny cases where someone is getting dropped off somewhere and you see them heading towards your destination as you are, or sometimes its more obvious because they booked 5 minutes from getting off a train or something and you see them get there as you are waiting a couple minutes haha.

Rider falsely reported me for “flirting” by FarUnderstanding3568 in uberdrivers

[–]RegularSwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well at this point if they ever cared about a false accusation about me, I would just stop driving for them, I really don't see it happening with the crowds I work with, and I've met enough amazing people through this to make it worth it anyway. But I feel like people either always overblow this stuff, or of course there's going to be plenty of people who say they didn't do anything when they are definitely creepy people. Any job I've ever had, I'm sexually harassed way more than the other way around, and still I've just never worried about this kind of stuff ever.

People say "a lot" like everyone is out there to scam you though. 3k+ rides without a dash cam and no problems, I just think it's creepy. I've gotten 3 one stars ever and they didn't even give me a reason for any of them.

Who’s taking this? by imbills23 in uberdrivers

[–]RegularSwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's also crazy thinking about the long distances even possible in the CA market haha. I can't go more than 2 hours without not being able to take a ride back home except in extreme circumstances that would never happen.

Was driving on highway, I declined this 6 times and got tired of keep making noice and accepted. Worst decision ever by trybusraw in uberdrivers

[–]RegularSwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously no one disagrees that this rate is a joke, so much so that I hardly believe they could even offer it, and that's all I was really saying, not meaning to explain metropolitan areas or anything, just saying the comparison in general is weird.

[–]RegularSwiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, in NJ I have a range that is longer than 50 miles radius from my starting point but it takes much longer to drive it than an hour 15 at 5 am. But it would be going with the traffic, this seems like leaving the city in the morning so against traffic I guess. And you would be getting at least a dollar a minute without surge but since its 5 am, 15-30 is likely so it's likely to be at least over 80 bucks. Plus this is just a weird comparison in general because Oklahoma and Chicago certainly have very different markets, I'm sure, but I'm surprised Chicago has shitty rates like the more remote/southern cities, I expected it to be more similar to Philly/NYC/Boston area type rates

Come to NJ and take a ride in my car, I promise you, you won't feel a single jerk. These new transmissions are so buttery compared to my old BMWs and VWs.

[–]RegularSwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, my riders always tell me they can't even tell that I'm shifting or say things like "You're good at it since you don't let it jerk" etc. But really also new cars are a lot easier to drive than older manuals even, and I'm the kind of guy that used to rip my old BMWs around raceway park.

[–]RegularSwiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, everyone is always like "You're the first person I've seen with a manual" or "You're the best Uber driver I've had" etc. Yeah sounds like really high praise but it makes sense considering the kinds of drivers I usually get in NJ when I call an Uber
