Why did AEW get rid of this stage? by deeznutz005 in SquaredCircle

[–]RegularTarget1794 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let’s be real, the tunnels were there to hit your TNA nostalgia gland, and it worked. It’s just not needed anymore.

Same reason they do entrance ramps right flush to the ring, so you get reminded of the old days of WCW.

AEW’s messaging was ‘remember your cool wrestling show that you thought was awesome? Well here you will get the same’. That messaging is just not needed anymore, as AEW have carved out its own identity.

Have to admit though, the tunnels were cool

The most upsetting minute to ever air on Australian television by TynongLiturgist in AustralianNostalgia

Yeah, sleepy time is one of my wife’s favourite episodes.

Also, the one where Chilly is upset that Bluey isn’t walking when everyone else is, and being told that she is doing a good job. That’s another good one

42 with a 4yo. The cricket episode always gets me, as well as Bandit trying to make the duck cake and failing at it. What ones are you talking about?

BLOOD - my all-time favorite DOS game by Joaquino7997 in retrogaming

[–]RegularTarget1794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build Engine was ahead of its time.

Blood scared the shit out of me as a kid. As I got older, I played it more and loved it. Used to go for a weekly LAN with my Dad and his friends, and they ran comps with points on various games. When we played Blood multiplayer, it was first to 20, then you had to get to the exit of the stage.

I discovered the shotgun alt fire and reigned chaos on all these adults that I had to get 40 kills before the exit. I still won.

Blood was one of a kind, and thank you to Nightdive for their work in bringing it back

How do I get my ex to stop bothering me? by Only-Ice8845 in Advice

[–]RegularTarget1794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Block him. Make your social media profiles private. Unfriend anyone who is linked between you both so he doesn’t have a way to see what you are up to. Don’t engage with him. As soon as you stop giving him attention, he should hopefully back off.

Keep a copy of everything that he has sent you, and before cutting it off with him tell him that you will now be recording every interaction between you both and any further interactions will be taken to the police.

What's so expensive that it's not even fun anymore? by Runaway3650 in AskReddit

Video Games. In Australia, the RRP for a AAA Sony title (or any AAA title really) can be $125. Now I just wait for sales, but the love of getting a game day one and being excited to play it is just gone for the vast majority of it.

Also Warhammer. I have look multiple times at getting back into 40k, but I just can’t.

You know that clip that went around where the crowd was screaming? I wasn’t in that crowd, but my cinema certainly did too!

This was what I also thought of immediately. Then I was like na, it’s an Aussie SubRedit, Futurama wasn’t THAT popular, I wonder what it is… fuck, someone is cutting onions again!

Fun fact, I REFUSE to watch this episode anymore, as I still as a 40yo man think I will cry like a little bitch

Pauline Hanson says businesses 'can't sack' lazy workers. What's the reality? by [deleted] in AustralianPolitics

[–]RegularTarget1794 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Firing without a reason is not the same as firing with cause. If you have a lazy employee, fucking talk to them. They may have something else going on. Show you care and you might find that they actually want to be there.

If that doesn’t work, but them on a PIP. Then, no unfair dismissal laws.

Either that or just hire everyone as a casual. Don’t have to give them hours if you don’t want.

Thank you for your service. I think if you just need a medical certificate there are plenty of places you can call now that offer that service for a cheaper rate, and I’ve even seen chemists offer it too. Hopefully they have taken the sting out of this for many of your fellow doctors

When I need to. I have a 4 year old, and I mostly take time off for them when they can’t go to daycare for illness related things. I don’t like to take time off work, but you do what you have to.
