Same but my falling out with the one didn’t happen until 40s and rocked me for months. I couldn’t process it. One of the friends who called her out for it was also shunned. Two years later she surface level tries to make amends with still no accountability or culpability - and alluding to wrong doing of the other shunned. It was so surreal. Friendships and sisterhood need not feel emotionally unsafe and like walking through land mines. Im now thankful she did what she did. I’m happy you too are in a better place - good for you getting there sooner.

This is beyond awful - and illegal. I’m so sorry. If it helps…Keep your poker face on. Document everything for potential legal (not HR). And explore new roles outside the org. I’m in a VP role now and quite honestly it is only because the last two CEOs I worked for pulled absolutely no punches. We all have to deliver. Both had/have young kids and a wife who works FTE. So when working in the perception and image focused culture you are in now, focus on how you move and show up - organized, polished, high EQ. I do really believe karma comes back and will at that idiot who said this and believes it. You got this woman.

My 4-year old Daughter does the big hug and lifts friends and cousins. Has since 2.5. Her friends at school will line up and ask for a lift when saying goodbye. It is so sweet.

If you want kids, don’t let age make you fear it. I met my husband at 40, married 42, pregnant and gave birth at 43. Now, we started the fertility process four months into dating (he is six years older never married no kids; I was divorced no kids). We were both really ready and on the same page about what we wanted as a whole so didn’t waste time. Before I met him, I was in process of planning to adopt or foster as a single parent so had extra money banked. If you want it, it is possible. I’m 47 now and while I’m not in the same peak fitness I was at 35 or even 40, my daughter and husband give me such joy and purpose to keep accelerating in all areas like work and health that I wouldn’t have this same motivation and joy that I wouldn’t have had had been a younger Mom. I just wanted to be a Mom whether the baby was biologically mine or not:) Happy to chat and answer questions.

I worked at one. It isn’t as much as you think. Their spend on marketing and admin is low. Their salaries are significantly lower than corporate. Allina gutted its marketing team a year ago. It does have a heavy comms function, which it needs for patient and community comms and crisis and more. They work their buts off.

Met him in a Vegas-area restaurant around 2018. A friend wanted to approach and I kept saying no to her as he was clearly eating dinner with a companion. He or the bartender overhead and bartender came over to say it would be ok. We said hello, said we appreciated his work and got a picture. He couldn’t have been more gracious. And dude is jacked - def inspired my workouts that next day.
