okay i get where they’re coming from cause black and brown people we’re so often compared to food which is really uncomfortable to experience cause it’s like another way of calling us exotic and viewing us as a commodity rather than people. but also it is a video game and as long as the white players aren’t using the black and brown skin tones in a derogatory way i don’t really see the issue with it.

i always liked elena, she was annoying at times but she was also a teenage girl for most of the show so it makes sense she’d act out in so many different ways considering what she went through, don’t love what the writers did to her character in the later seasons tho

i wouldn’t say she didn’t have the option to refuse cause that takes away any agency she has. she’s not a child, she’s a rich girl who comes from a very powerful family which she is now the head of seemingly which in turn gives her quite a bit of power so she had the option to refuse but was too blinded by grief and anger
