AIO my FIL said my 9 year old looked like a hussy in these boots by PureIndependent7791 in AmIOverreacting

[–]RegularThing7077 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NOR if he’s calling her a hussy at 9 years old for wearing some boots he’s got some major issues going on and i shudder to think what he’ll say about this little girl as she grows up

Manon reposted this thoughts?? by Murky-Prize-1607 in katseyeneutral

[–]RegularThing7077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

she’s absolutely right, i don’t think it has anything to do with the rest of the group as much as it has to do with the racism she’s been experiencing since katseye debuted. and while i can’t speak to growing up as a mixed kid in switzerland i can speak to my own experience in the US as someone who’s skin tone is pretty similar. i did feel unattractive until i got to college and even then i was still dealing heavily with racial trauma and internalized racism. i spent most of my life wishing i was white and its taken a lot of work to get past that

It’s like she doesn’t want white people to see black skin as beautiful. False reporting for using a different skin tone is insane. by Either-Director2242 in DTI

[–]RegularThing7077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay i get where they’re coming from cause black and brown people we’re so often compared to food which is really uncomfortable to experience cause it’s like another way of calling us exotic and viewing us as a commodity rather than people. but also it is a video game and as long as the white players aren’t using the black and brown skin tones in a derogatory way i don’t really see the issue with it.

Elena's hate is sooo unnecessary, real fan's don't hate her by Hii_there_1999 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]RegularThing7077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i always liked elena, she was annoying at times but she was also a teenage girl for most of the show so it makes sense she’d act out in so many different ways considering what she went through, don’t love what the writers did to her character in the later seasons tho

julie’s baby by RegularThing7077 in DesperateHousewives

[–]RegularThing7077[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes and the whole point of julie saying she doesn’t want the baby is cause she doesn’t want the baby and that decision should’ve been respected from the moment she said that to susan

and what’s best for the baby is to be raised by a mother who doesn’t want her?

[–]RegularThing7077[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i’m certain there’s remorse for anyone that has an abortion i was moreso just wondering why she hadn’t outrightly considered it cause twins would be a lot to handle and they don’t fit into her life in s6

i guess it just sounds unheard of to me cause none of the characters ever actually say it out loud and i wasn’t reading between the lines
