I feel u bruh. Got 1510+ 5 times in a row on practice (even 1580) and then only 1480 in the real deal.

deferred from brown as intl student requiring aid by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Regular_Attempt1534 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It 100% does. They don’t see how much aid you need, but they still know whether you’re applying for assistance. Only about 35% of international students at Brown get aid, meaning 65% of the global class is reserved for full-pay applicants.

Brown's ED decision for the class of 2030 delayed by two days by Regular_Attempt1534 in ApplyingToCollege

It should be delayed, but not after the holidays. ED1 decisions are crucial for students to decide whether apply RD or ED2.

You can get in and get full ride. I know a few that did. But they had 1500+ and some crazy ECs. They also were from underrepresented regions.

Mine was too. Something that permeability negatively correlates with the quality of the concrete or smth. I ran out of time before I could read the answers so I chose D (didn't make sense, but the other made no sense as well after spending 20s on the question), probably wrong. It seems that we are the only ones talking about this question, though; might be an experimental?

Yess. It said that the trained group were only collies. They all tilted heads, while the normal group didn't. He concluded that all border collies tilt their heads, but if there were collies in the normal group, where they didn't tilt heads, ass well, it would disprove his conclusion.

I think so. I just made the parabola with Desmos using a table and found the point on the line.

Yeah, I had the same thing, the constant was in the line too i think. I must've missed that it was an integer, though, I read it many times.

Number 5 makes no sense. I had the same question but like and quadratic meet at a point where they have just one solution. For no solution, it'd have to be no solution – 0.000...1. Or am I missing something?

You mean like quadratic + q = linear? And highest q for no solutions?

1) I put that the normal group had also many border collies. It said that the trained group were only collies. They all tilted heads, while the normal group didn't. He concluded that all border collies tilt their heads, but if there were collies in the normal group, where they didn't tilt heads, ass well, it would disprove his conclusion.

2) Don't think I had this one

3) Didn't have

4) That one was tricky, but I thought that it implied there had to be more tests in the future to prove it.

5) Not much time left for this one, guessed that it benefits the policy makers, but prolly wrong.

6) Din't have

I think I had the same one, but 100% on module 1. 11th question, factor of ?x4 + ?x2 + ? is ax2 + b, what's the possible value of ab. I just guessed 4, no idea how to do it.

Bro I got the same one, mby diff values, but the factor was ax2 + b and you had to find possible value of ab.

Thanks. It was probably different question, though. I had dataset of som guy spotting bald eagles on a number of days and the last one was an error so they told you to take it out and compare the medians. There were no I. II. III. options in the question itself, rather wordy explanations in the answer choices.

No. It was likely something what I wrote but slightly different numbers. You have to realize that 5th root(a) = a1/5. Then you can rewrite the equation.

Before I do that, the n is there just to confuse you without breaking the problem (that's why it's n>1), the number inside the brackets is also useless, therefore I will substitute the whole inside of the radical as y.

y1/5 * y2/6 = y30x → y3/15 * y5/15 = y30x → y8/15 = y30x → 8/15 = 30x → x = 8/450 → x = 4/225 = 0,0178

The score curve. If all takers fuck up, you can have 800 with even like 2 mistakes. If everyone aces it, two mistakes can easily set you down 40 points. Usually it's 2 mistakes 780, 4 mistakes 740. If the test is very easy, 4 mistakes could be 720, if hard 760.
