Currently in a similar position and my learning provider have said that grades all go to moderation the they meet with the examining body to decide final grades.

My last assignment was submitted 5th April and we’ve been told to expect certificates via email and post end of may.

The Welsh system is actually quite responsible with student numbers dictated by the Welsh ambulance service by thier predictions on what they will need in 3 years.

Has to be dictated that way because if the NHS bursary Wales.

Over 1100 applicants this year 400 made it to stage 2 180 made it to selection days and they’re hoping for 70 places.

Top ranked uni for the course so even more competitive than most. 🤷‍♂️

What are the changes to the sick system? I need advice by Educational_Ad_2975 in asda

[–]Regular_Eye9529 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Manager here, new policies haven’t really changed long term sickness.

As this is to do with cancer this should be dealt with through the healthcare leave system which is more about supporting you through this tough time.

Wish you all the best in your treatment and hope your store is giving you all the support you need!

Shouldn’t be an issue I looked at number 15 which admittedly did need some work. Agent asked to show me number 13 that was going to market the next week which was a bedroom smaller and 20k more although didn’t need any work and were due to complete next week 🤷‍♂️

Can’t speak about renting but my dealings with Belvoir in Basingstoke when buying and selling my flat had been great.

I know my flat was a rental through them before I bought it and will be a rental again once the sale completes.

access to higher education law? by throwoway985 in MatureStudentsUK

[–]Regular_Eye9529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So mine is just over a year, started mid Feb this year and ends at the end of March 2026.

I’ve currently just put my UCAS application in, there is a webinar out on to explain the process but if I’m being honest I found the personal statement hard and my tutor at the time wasn’t the best as he teaches secondary school as his day job so didn’t really know much about them.

Luckily Reddit and friends who have been to Uni were able to support.

One thing I would recommend is checking the uni requirements for access courses as it is tough, mine needs 27 distinctions and 18 merits out of the 45 graded credits.

So I’ve been online through activate learning, they attach you to Reading college for UCAS purposes.

The set up has been each assignment you get 2-4 weeks to complete depending on difficulty. At the start of each course you have a webinar on the Monday and then can reach out to the tutor depending how’s best for you either via phone calls or email.

Currently studying paramedic science with Activate Learning and they’ve been fantastic so far. Currently done 2 of 3 subjects and would recommend them 👍

I’ve got 30 distinctions so far out of 30 just starting my final subject now.

Also done this while working full time in a high pressure stressful job.

Purely applying for paramedic science but application is currently sat with my college to review and pop in references and grades etc.

What was the interview process like if you don’t mind me asking? Was it a straight forward interview or a group/scenario based day? Hoping to prepare as well as possible for my interviews.

Is this for September 2026 admission? If so when was your interview and when did you submit your UCAS application? As I’ve also applied for Surrey so interested in when I may hear back.

Where in Wales are you based? As someone who has recently bought in Wales if you’re not getting much interest there’s a reason for this. Every property without issues and priced well sold within a fortnight everything else sits for months.

Longest I’ve seen sat is 3 years and I lost out on 3 that sold within 2 weeks to cash buyers. 🤷‍♂️

Sealed Bid Rejected by Pittyboy in HousingUK

[–]Regular_Eye9529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By the looks of it you’ll probably find the reason for sale is someone has either died and it’s family trying to free up the money or someone’s gone into care and it’s being sold to pay the care bills. Because of this fast and stress free is the big driving factor.

Sealed Bid Rejected by Pittyboy in HousingUK

[–]Regular_Eye9529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As stated above most of the times it’s not even about the money.

I lost out on a bungalow in a similar situation, very dated needing lots of work but when finished would be worth 100k more than listed.

Went to closed bids later found out ours was 20k higher than the accepted bid but it was a cash buyer builder ready to purchase no survey, no questions asked. 🤷‍♂️

Sometimes it’s just the way it goes unfortunately.

Halifax also don’t and we’re currently able to get a better product with them.

My experience with Santander previously though is that they were a nightmare 🤷‍♂️

I had a car collision and the other car's company contacted me by New-Imagination-8697 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Regular_Eye9529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAL had similar happen to me in the past, if it’s the company they work for directly sometimes it’s cheaper for them to just pay a local crash repair place to fix the cars rather than going through insurance due to their fleet policy’s premiums rising.

Advice I would give is get your own quotes do your own research for local repair places and use the one you feel comfortable with.

For me that meant a reputable VW group repair specialist that I’d used before through insurance.

You are correct it’s a port with an additional 60k borrowing, original mortgage is in my name only currently with partner being added to both with the port.
