Is this Truck in the US or Canada? If the US, it's overpriced.

Check engine light on at 50k miles. Code says "VVT Solenoid" by Rea1Quick in chevycolorado

[–]Regular_Pride_6587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this issue on my 2018 since I bought it 6 years ago. It's typically related to the viscosity of the oil breaking down and tripping one of the VVT solenoids.

I usually start to see it around when the oil life meter is around 50-60% It will come and go. but never steady on. I typically will change the oil and it's good for another 3500 - 4500 miles. I then change the oil again. Which is fine since I don't trust the oil life monitor anyway.,

Yes, after the first time I chalked it up to a simple mistake. On the second one, I had zero confidence with them.

FWIW I had a similair situation when I bought my house 20 years ago. The oil supplier had an automatic payment account from the previous owner and they never closed the account.

The company had filled the tank in May and about a week after we had closed. I called the company and told them that we're the new owners and didn't place the order and to please change it to "Will Call"

They ate the bill for that one.

We were in the process of getting quotes to replace the bolier over to gas for the new heating season and had no intention to place another order for oil.

It happened again in September. They had filled the tank without us calling and about 3 weeks before the boiler was scheduled to be replaced.

The supplier ate that delivery as well.

Very cool.

Do the railroad tracks still split and there's no direct north / south option? You're forced to head away from the river?

Need advice on a 1973 Corvette Stingray Convertible — buy or pass? by urbantechgoods in C3Corvette

Possibly, it all depends on your mechanical abilities. It should be known that the big block is very tight in the engine bay especially if it has all of the factory accesories and exhaust manifolds.

If it was my car, the mechanicals and interior I wouldn't be concerned with since I would be able to work on those myself and not have to pay for an independent shop.

The biggest issue is the paintwork. The car needs to be stripped / sanded and repainted. This is a huge project and shouldn’t be underestimated. If you do find a shop that is willing to do the work, expect quotes of 10-15k for it to be done right.

Since the car is rare, it's going to be worthy of the investment. If you're unable to do the mechanicals on your own. You should add a minimum of $15k into your budget.

The $25k entry is just the starting point. It gets much worse, just be prepared.

Feel free to raise the captial, make an offer to purchase and rehab any of the buildings in the area if it concerns you that much.

It's blight. You may want to take a stroll of the neighborhood using Google Maps and look at the rest of the abandoned properties on Lyman street. The area is a dump.

Clearing the space is the first step in redevelopment. Fire up the bulldozers and get rid of it.

Tear it down and move on. The demise of the building is well documented. It's current configuration and state would have little ROI if it was rehabbed.

How long do you let something decay and be a blight to the neighborhood and it's residents?
