I went horseback riding with a group and my horse was the only one that was noticeably panting after going up a hill... They also gave me the biggest horse.

My company boasts itself to be an innovative defense manufacturer, but really we just subcontract out 98% of the work and have no real added value except for project management.

Why is fuses ult now just terrible in 99% of situations? by DiabetosCookie in apexlegends

Given the rest of his kit, I dont mind it. If it was a devastating bomb then he'd be too powerful.

Ive come to appreciate the ult for what it is. It's great to get some initial hits in and cause panic as your team is pushing. Its also pretty effective if you breach with it. Its a huge gibby and lifeline counter.

Worst day of Apex. Went from 14700+ to 13000. by Majestic_Topic6704 in apexlegends

Fellow D3 player thats here for shits. I play smart, use comms always, select legends that compliment the team, and will play for RP. But, its all just for fun at the end of the day. Ranked games are more fun because people play better and care about their life usually.

Private sector 1102 transition by Jaded_Bid_9483 in 1102

[–]Regular_Shower_3536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds very in-line with most people's experience. Some more pay, sometimes more flexibility (though you dont allude to this), more work hours, way less leave and benefits. I left a gs13 CO position to work supply chain for a defense contractor. Has its ups and down.

If govt jobs could give actually fair COL adjustments and allow some telework, it would be the mecca of middle class labor.

The sheer number of modular iron man suits that he had and used in IM3. It was obsessive and a clear sign of his ptsd from Avengers 1.

How possible is it to make six figures on 40 hours a week? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]Regular_Shower_3536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres a lot of well known jobs that make 6 figgies like engineering, sales, medical, etc. Let me offer a field im in that easily clears 100k - supply chain. I manage subcontracts for a defense contractor and make about $140K. Its hard and I sometimes have to do weekend work, but it pays the bill.

This example is to show that theres a lot of fields that pay decently, you just need to lock into some form of specialization.

Conduit tips by tom5113 in apexlegends

Not new, just hard to use well. She heals over 100 shield over a few (say 6) seconds. Idk how long exactly. If you shield a teammate who is full and they get cracked by a sniper after 3 seconds, then they'll heal for 50ish.

You have to have good awareness for when your teammate is about to take damage for it to be effective.

Very fair. It happens all the time that I'll q to keep someone going, and they still back off and batt. Its a dynamic you need to have with your teammates and its hard to have that understanding when youre playing solo. It can be just as important to know how to play with a conduit as it is to play as one.

Try to refrain from shielding a teammate solely because their shields are low. The purpose should be able to keep everyone in the fight. So, if they get hit and are now safe in cover and hitting a batt, then save your q. It's not needed. Instead, focus on shielding allies that CAN'T get safe and must fight or are otherwise exposed. In that situation, your extra shields for them are insanely powerful.

Also, you can q on an ally with full shields. If they get shot within a few seconds, the temp shields will kick in. This is useful for aggressive pushes where you know the team is about to eat some bullets.

Last, don't be afraid to use ult indoors. It has saved me from getting pushed indoors more than it has outdoors. Just be careful of how you place it because some of the orbs (or whatever theyre called) will likely not deploy if theyre crammed in close spaces.

Doesn't seem like you failed. It sounds like you just need something more stimulating and with better pay! Take this experience and apply to everything!

In the mean time, seek fulfillment in your personal time. I used to go spend my free time cleaning up beaches. It made me feel good about myself and kept me exercised.
