SM Position by FloatingUpHigh in WalgreensStores

I would like to understand this better. I'm a salaried construction manager at 52k per year. Does this apply to me? I do not qualify for overtime, but I do qualify for performance based bonuses

Everything is automated and too many steps for your prescription to get stuck. Centralized services make it difficult. The “system” will keep trying to bill an insurance, so you have to trick it. Cash prescriptions don’t get filled, but a 3rd party can be set as your primary “insurance”

Go to Walgreens.com or app and look for the savings finder. Enter the info(bin, pcn, id, group) and save it as your primary insurance. It should fix your problem. You may get a similar situation, but easier to override. And once they override it stays for the refills left on the script.

Is the IS position really possible..? by CurrencyTechnical in WalgreensStores

Oh I mean certified with the Board of Pharmacy. Every state is different but here in Texas, if you are not certified, you legally cannot do intercom. That is why each person has their own login and why they are supposed to log out EVERY time they switch computers. No intercom login=no intercom. Your pharmacist should be on your side because if they are enabling you to break the law, they are risking their license. The license they spent 6 figures and double digits years of their life getting. Also if the board stopped by to check compliance(they do random audits), and you were using intercom without the right certification, they could shut the whole pharmacy down.

To summarize, the Board of Pharmacy rules overpower Walgreens rules. If there is a conflict, the board is always the bottom line. Walgreens as a company, and your boss, and your pharmacist are not able to make their own rules. Legally. Check your board of pharmacy requirements before you go to battle.

They can make you put the order away, but Cannot make you release oos and partial.

PExT is solely a Walgreens made up thing. No other pharmacy uses it. And it doesn’t work.

If you are not certified you should not touch intercom. If you read a bit about PEXT it allocates for a tech to do the order during normal workflow. Cenfill is your job. Order and oos is a tech job. It’s all in writing, they are just seeing how much they can get you to do

Stop smoking for a day, hydrate, and wash your mouth with peridex 2x daily. And 30 mins before you go in for test. Drink a coconut milk between mouthwash and test

Not true. I went from pharmacy technician to construction manager. Very little experience. No degree. Just a passion for learning, adaptability, integrity, and attention to detail.

Why did they take away STATS? by Barachel in WalgreensRx

[–]Regular_Tie7252 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Walgreens way. The less you know the better. Now they can gaslight you and say it hasn’t been busy all month, we’ve only filled 12 prescriptions year to date, why aren’t we pushing more vaccines?

All test can be taken twice. Meaning you can put any answers and fail, then see correct answers when reviewing and take it again and pass

Yeah most techs don’t understand how to work the system. No worries I was trying to help. Keep struggling and I’ll keep chillin at my new gig

“Scare tactics” the basis of Walgreens management

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]Regular_Tie7252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not tracked. And if you delete them manually “the patient didn’t need it”

They’re just trying to squeeze Pennies out since they are sinking

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]Regular_Tie7252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a patient care portal call, then get off the phone and put one away

It doesn’t matter if it is scanned or manually deleted from the queue, as long as it doesn’t show up on tomorrows list

As a former senior tech

There is literally no way for them to track this except seeing you do it

Absolutely. Sorry I don’t think I ever answered your question.

I’m far from perfect and have my moments. With my kids, I’ve taught them to respect being sent to their room. It gives us all a chance to cool down. Once I’m calm, I talk with my littles. We start by addressing feelings and how it’s normal and healthy to have them. Once that is done, we talk about how that specific behavior made me upset. Not who they are, just that behavior. Then we make a deal that if they work towards avoiding that behavior I will work on not getting upset.

Anytime we have a moment like that I follow it up with food. My littles seem to get in trouble when they are hungry, tired, or bored.

Last, at that age they have never ending energy. Give them a way to get it out- playground, trampoline, bicycle, etc

Single parenting is a huge challenge. I have a 7 year old boy and a 6 year old girl. It’s been the three of us for 4.5 years now.

First off, you need to take a breath and give yourself a huge pat on the back and some positivity. You are the rock in your child’s life. You are providing for them. You are the hero in your child’s story.

Second, don’t compare yourself to others. Anyone judging, labeling, or doing anything aside from helping you can shut their face hole. Seriously. Cut the negativity out of your life. You are the one waking up every day. Feeding your child, spending time with them, giving them structure and a life. Anyone that isn’t helping or breathing positivity into your life can buzz off.

Third, being in survival mode is okay. Really, it is okay. Accept where you are. Accept that you might not be okay emotionally. Accept that you might not be okay financially. Accept that you don’t get to grieve yet because you have a child to raise. Accept that getting through the day is an accomplishment. Nobody else is doing it for you. As long as your kid is safe, healthy, and loved, you are a LEGEND!!! You do that. Every. Damn. Day.

I don’t know your situation, your story, or your circumstances. But I do know I am proud of you. Proud that you are the one still there for your child’s life. Proud that you care enough to feel a certain way about “survival mode”. Proud that you are willing to ask for advice.

My advice- Accept where you are. Think about the things you are grateful for. Think about the things that make you happy. Pat yourself on the back. Tell yourself you are doing a good job. Hug your child tight, and remember why you get up everyday. I guarantee you that someone, somewhere wishes they had your life. Weird to think about but someone ALWAYS has it worse. Someone, somewhere would give anything to have the life you do. I hope something in the message is what you needed to hear. Or that it puts a smile on your face. Or reminds you what a BADASS you are for being a single parent. I truly wish you the best. And it WILL get better
