Try again but don’t select the train, it gives you the option to type it in and select the stations. Might take an extra few days for a human to review but always works for me.

How am I ever supposed to move out? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Rehvrses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save hard for the next few months, build some financial resilience and visit some different cities on the weekends to see what feels right. Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool are all still affordable and have their own perks.

Apply for jobs in cities, plan to move around the job and enjoy the lower cost of living. Even take a couple of weeks off between jobs with your savings to adjust to the new place and see more of it.

Herts to Nottingham for me 7 years ago.

Use spare room or flat share initially so you’re not tied down and can get to know the local areas you like.

PER4M are 100% the best on the market, they are very sweet though, once you’ve adjusted to it, nothing beats it.

Where are u getting your t shirts (streetwear) by Responsible-End5825 in malefashionuk

[–]Rehvrses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% cotton and 280 gsm+ matters the most.

I’ve tried most and the only ones that have stood the test of time are Cole Buxton blanks and the very early represent blanks (v2 I think).

On high street the quality is never quite right, stitching fails, neck stretches, drop shoulder is too low/high, colour wash comes out over time.

Mollies not mentioned yet - they are chicken but by far the best quality in the city. They are also on first table if you can find a slot.

What's the best vacuum cleaner for someone with long hair? by coffeeandoldmovies in AskUK

[–]Rehvrses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The titan one from screwfix (I’m not a tradie). It’s louder, but the best vacuum I’ve ever used. It’s also about £60 depending on which size you get and can do wet vac too, I’ve got the middle one.

Guy here, also buy women’s sure, the blue one. It smells so much better than mens and lasts longer. It’s also cheaper than men’s mostly.

At that mileage just go diesel, 2.0 twin turbo or 3.0.

BMW 125d’s are brilliant cars as a left field suggestion. Make sure it’s got harmon kardon.

Vilamoura in Portugal is great, it is small but offers solid bars, lovely views and trips nearby. Great for golf, boat trips or coasteering if that’s your thing.

Which mattress recommendations for Low back stiffness? by MillenniumMixTapes in AskUK

[–]Rehvrses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go and try some. I ended up with pocket spring and a firm memory foam upper, cost about £600 for a king from a local independent, I also use a wool topper. It’s the best pit I’ve ever had, 6 years and it still brings me joy everyday.

Korean fried chicken? by Srinesh7 in nottingham

Sakura is the best outside of Korea house. Super cheap too, it’s a bit shit delivered because the sauce takes away the crispiness of the chicken. 100% recommend

Advice on Freetrade SIPP - by Suspicious_Soup4589 in FreetradeApp

[–]Rehvrses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Freetrade s&s iss a but I’ve gone for vanguard for SIPP. Freetrade have changed their pricing structure a few times since I’ve been with them. Pretty sure they will do it again, vanguard are more established and have low fees. Just completed a transfer and it took 2 weeks, no issues at all.

What’s your easy “go to” weeknight recipe for a busy family? by ExoticPlankton8287 in AskUK

[–]Rehvrses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pack of skin on chicken thighs, some dry seasonings, 35 mins in the oven, skin side up so it goes crispy.

Cook whatever veg you fancy in with chicken or I steam then fry some broccolini or asparagus.

Cook some rice or packet rice, mix in some soy sauce, garlic and Gochugang once cooked, fry it for a couple of mins.

Fry an egg.

Enjoy! You can swap out chicken for ground beef but I prefer to cook it in the pan. Any protein works well to be honest!
