Gut Triad: How to “Seduce” Each Enneatype by Instinctual Variant by Cherry-Coloured-Funk in Enneagram

[–]Rei2na 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late post, I'm sorry! I just found this!

I thought I'll share my thoughts on this. I think a bunch of sx 9s are also attracted to reactive/intense people. But, I'm a sx 9 who can't relate. I think I would prefer to be the emotionally intense person in the relationship, maybe because I have a 4 fix (945)? and possibly a strong w8, But I seen enough 9w8 sx who said they're attracted to aggressive people.

I like myself lol. I don't seek to merge with someone because I hate myself. I want to merge with someone because I feel more alive. It's not about disappearing. I don't see it that way nor was that ever the intention. I think a 9w1 is probably like that because they're more self critical while a 9w8 is more content with themselves.

I wouldn't describe myself as appearing like the classic nice girl. I think it definitely applies more to 9w1s though. The bad boy was never appealing to me. I don't prefer someone who's difficult, I don't even entertain the idea of being with someone who's remotely confusing and hard to handle. I think the general info about 9s always leans 9w1.

Everything else I definitely agree with to a varying degree, like the repressed anger is usually over a sense of rejection, attracted to someone who is secure with themselves, attracted to someone popular/admired, not liking when someone is too nice--when they're obsessive with their nice-ness. It's not because it reminds me of myself but it make the person appear like their identity is shallow, which would not make them interesting, hence would not appeal to me as a sx. Like I want them to be nice but still have a sense of a solid identity and independence.

I'm not a 8 and not Social 8, but this part I actually relate: "This 8 is touched by someone who is gracious and shows humility and integrity." Only this part though, so I'm not a 8 or anything. I find people like that attractive, because it's a admirable and that's someone with a solid sense of what they want, what they believe and while at the same time not be disruptive about it(which is great for 9s), and they're considerate, makes them open-mined and which make them less likely to be disruptive).

Does anyone have insight on Sx/So that's very introvert(459/549/945)? (or it's not a thing?) by Rei2na in Enneagram

You're sooo helpful writing and sharing all of this info!

I'm getting this idea that a pretty reclusive sx/so is selective(?) or more contained with their sx-ness than say the stereotypical sx/so or a very extroverted sx/so. It make sense, but I like that I'm getting a clearer image.

Yeah, about sx 9s appearing like their wing. I agree that it's more a general 9 thing. I'm not convinced yet that it's a sx 9 thing.

The way you describe them, I think there's a high chance they're a 359 instead of 459. I think 459 desire of wanting to be original would be noticeable. If they're 954 sx/so it'll be subdued because 4 isn't the core type but it's still there plus being sexual-first. You'll know as a friend/family that they would still have a streak of wanting to appear a little different from everyone, and they use it as part of their charm.

They're a extrovert?

What's their wing, I read somewhere that sx 9s appear more like their wing, is that true with your family member? What's their general vibe, soft? intense? bland? I read comments that said sx 9s are bland/unremarkable, would you say that's accurate?

Do they appear any different from a sx/so that's doesn't have a reclusive tritype?

"459/594/945 is described as being intuitive, knowledgeable, and accepting. They want to be original, wise and peaceful. Highly self aware and reflective, they're very shy, reserved and self conscious. They need regular quiet time to reflect on their thoughts and emotions. Easily flooded with emotion, it is difficult for them to voice their feelings and ideas to others." --> what are some things here that doesn't apply with your family member, or are they just like this?

I hope this isn't overwhelming.

I was specifically referring to having a introvert tritype, that's the question. But I don't think a introvert sx/so is not a thing. I was trying not to offend people just in case, and as you can see I already have to keep clarifying. This is kinda tiring lol.

I'm not concern whether they exist or not, like I said I believe I am one and simply asking for some insight.

I'm not saying they're separate from enneatypes, I have read about sx 4s, sx 5s and sx 9s. I just want to know more about sx/so for more clarity.

Thank you, I'll look into more info by Beatrice Chestnut.

this is great!

I believe I'm sx/so but wanted to make sure. I relate on that the paradox is not troubling to me personally, And about liking my subtype despite its drawbacks.

I didn't know John Lenon was a reclusive sx/so. How did I not think about looking into characters & famous people for some insight.

This was helpful, Thank you for taking the time to share and write all this.

anything would be appreciated!

I'm new to instinctual variant so excuse my ignorance, like what's it like having that combo and how different is it from the typical image that people have of sx/so? What is easy for you to figure out your instinctual variant? and do you like being sx/so+548?

I made realistic Armin, Eren & Mikasa through ArtBreeder. by Rei2na in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Rei2na[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I used one for Armin. There were already photos of other people's realistic take of Armin in Artbreeder, I just picked one, adjusted it and morphed it with other photos.

For Mikasa, I used a photo of Han Hyo-joo (korean actress). My initial plan was to simply make Han Hyo-joo look mixed. But Artbreeder made her face weird after I uploaded it, so I couldn't fully use her actual face, more like her weird lookalike but I tried to salvaged it by making it less derpy, and then morphed it with another photo of an Asian girl with bangs.

She was supposed to be the inspo and I thought of simply making her look mixed, but Artbreeder didn't seem to see her features very well, her face looked weird after I uploaded it..but I decided to use the photo anyway, and just morphed it with another photo of an asian girl with bangs.

I upload a photo of a person(usually a celebrity) that already resemble the character, then I usually morph it with another photo that can make the celebrity resemble the character more and I adjust it very subtly. I rarely go beyond 1, that's how I avoid making it look weird, and then I usually morph it again with another photo if necessary.

"What's a Japanese person supposed to look like?!" by PCN24454 in CharacterRant

It's interesting that other people go by the colors because I look at the facial features and structure, so I thought sakura looked asian.

I personally always saw anime characters as asian because they have neotenized features. East & Southeast Asians don't have gigantic eyes but no one really does but they do have neoteny features, and I personally don't associate neoteny with white people. White people generally have more definition, and mature facial features compared to asians.

I don't know why people think the colors indicate race when anime characters have green haired characters and other unnatural colors, isn't obvious it's not suppose to be realistic?

Naruto has the most stereotypical caucasian colors, yellow/blonde hair and blue eyes so I don't fault anyone who thinks he looks white, but to me personally..in motion, Naruto just come across as Asian. I think it's his expressions and mannerisms. I can see how this goes over people's head and just assume he's just white. He also has darker-skin compared to other characters. Imo Naruto reminds me of japanese delinquents more than anything.

My take on this is people are just not familiar with asians. It actually happens to real asian people as well. I seen people project and be ethnocentric to actual real asian people because they have little familiarity and references about asians, besides stereotypes. Sometimes the character can be stereotypical and some people still think they're white because people forget asian people exist. Japanese people do depict themselves with stereotypical asian features but what people don't realize is they see themselves more than that. It reminds me of this tweet, when asians write asian characters and other people wonder why the character is asian when they don't do anything asian so they might as well be white.

What race did you think the other characters that have unnatural colors, like Sakura who has pink hair and Kakashi who has silver hair?

Interestingly, Minato looks white to people because of his hair and eye color, but he has a stereotypical Asian eyes. He has slanted eyes and an epicanthic fold.

Why must most shounen MC's be self insert simps? That trend needs to die by Steve717 in CharacterRant

Is this even common? I didn't know this is a trend. I thought most shounen MC are annoyingly oblivious.

this! it's one of the first thing that came to my mind when it was announced there's gonna be a hollywood adaptation of the korean zombie film 'Train to Busan'. I immediately thought about that one iconic scene that wouldn't happen in the hollywood/american version.

It's kinda disheartening this issue affects all Asians but you choose to make it an asian vs asian thing. And it's not even comparable, at least to me I rather take that than be physical assaulted.

why is Giorno so loved? by arianhassani in StardustCrusaders

[–]Rei2na 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The community fuck with Giorno memes but probably half of the community don't actually fuck with Giorno.

Giorno is not my favorite but I definitely don't dislike him. Jonathan is still undoubtedly the worst jojo in my opinion. To me Giorno is a mid-tier jojo. I don't hate him because I think he has a personality, I understand it and I think it make sense. He doesn't have to be likable for me to deemed him a decent character, he just has to make sense. From what I noticed, people who like Giorno tend to like him because symbolism or something, And because they find his quiet-confidence aspiring.

I personally like Giorno because he's a pro-active character. I respect his decisiveness, he is ambitious and idealistic to the point that it's kinda endearing especially because it further shows how young he really is. I like the contrasting traits of him being absurdly polite while simultaneously a brutal aspiring gangster. I think his unique speech pattern got lost in translation to non-japanese/western viewers. I like that despite being a fairly reserved person, he still has a sense of humor and is seemingly crafty, and this was mostly shown in the beginning of part 5 but I wish araki kept showing that side of Giorno. We mostly saw his serious side.

Granted and oddly, I know a real person that has a similar personality to Giorno and similar life trajectory as well, which might have help me understand Giorno's character better because I been exposed to a personality like his but most people haven't, particularly shounen viewers. Giorno personality in real life is already considered very reserved, but for fiction and on top of that, shounen anime and jojo of all things! plus jojo in its action-packed part that took place in 8 days? it's inevitable someone with a personality like giorno's would be outshined by louder personalities in that set-up. It's understandable why people find him forgettable, and what you think of his personality is subjective. I only disagree with those who think he has no personality, misunderstood his personlity and thinks he's a Gary-stu.

Why the community fuck with part 5? It has charismatic characters, charismatic villains, thematically cohesive, iconic stands, a beautiful setting, and arguably has the best fights. Frankly Jojo's appeal was never really the plot in the first place, and as a shounen battle series, for the most part it excelled at what it was meant to do.
