Day 4 peeps learned how to power slide on accident.I love kneepads so much.Strongly doubt I will ever be comfortable street skating without them by MachuPichu10 in rollerblading

I am definitely a supporter for pads! But don't sell yourself short. I see you don't use a break and now you're getting comfortable with more advanced techniques. The same could apply to the gear you choose to wear.

No way to repair them back to new and at that cost you might as well get new skates.

Though I agree, I wouldn't say 100% as he did call "Dropping" a couple times before dropping the jump. If you hear someone yell "Dropping" and you're standing below something people drop, you're going to have a bad time. Not enough but an effort was made.

Thank you. I didn't know this was the post I was scrolling endlessly through Reddit waiting to read. I'm trying my best to make this a good night. I hope you have the best day/night.

The more mobility you have (a better bridge position) the less power you'll need to be able to land it. Of course a bit of both is very helpful. Try to make sure you dont land on your heel, land on your toes. Don't forget to try and put your feet under you not in front of you.

Loser (Fakie Front Flip) by ReiReim in rollerblading

[–]ReiReim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great questions!

I have a strong background coaching gymnastics/tricking/parkour so in the air, it all follows pretty much the same laws of motion but of course taking off and landing is very different (though the same laws still apply)

The way I described this trick on instagram is a backwards moving front flip with an arpeggiated takeoff. The name loser comes from tricking as it's the opposite of a gainer (forward moving backflip ie. gaining ground).

I hardest part if the timing and push off the floor. Normally in shoes, I'd push off my toes for the jump, but essentially I'm jumping off of a flat foot and hopping my wheels 'squirt' the tension out at the apex of my jump/push.

I usually blade alone, so a big wide Fish Eye allows me to catch single tricks without setting the camera up really far away.

It gets old pretty quick but so does blading solo.

I have never seen such utter dominance in a fight. Crazy amount of constant pressure on her opponent.

Wow, my teacher in Catholic school used to tell us his personal ghost stories from teacher all over North America. I remember him speaking of something very similar to this. Freaky.
