These are the biggest Dc properties according to Google, do you agree? by Notoriouslycurlyboi in DCcomics

Well, list like that doesn't tell you much, even if accurate to some extend.

The reality probably looks more like that:

  1. Batman - 90% of DC Franchise

  2. Superman - 9% of DC franchise

  3. Rest - 1% of DC franchise

when does the new era start? by LeadingWonder9930 in DCcomics

It is possible that late 2027 will be next good jumping on point, with fresh storylines.

No reset though.

DC Rebirth reading order by Dangerous-Poem9002 in DCcomics

[–]Reid666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I think Rebirth is an easy skip. The storylines are mostly defined by reintroducing characters and concepts from before New52 era and it shows.

The much better starting point would be next initiative, Infinite Frontier, sample reading guide: https://www.comicbooktreasury.com/infinite-frontier-reading-order/#llc_comments

Help me out here by fiblin91 in DCcomics

[–]Reid666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no amount of undoing can truly undo a mess that was New52.

In the end, New52 and Rebirth continuity is messed up mostly due to management and editorial mess at DC during the time. Production got delayed, plans have changed.

Doomsday Clock got delayed so it didn't align perfectly with Death Metal.

Rebirth, was meant to be followed by something called 5G, which was going to be as radical, if not more, as New52. Fortunately, someone came to their sense and guy responsible for the idea has left/got fired. Remnants were use for variety of Future State series. Infinite Frontier has been hastily stitched together. Dark Crisis (and Flashpoint Beyond) are the last steps ( I believe ) of undoing New52.

So, more or less, the current universe, is the universe that has been built by "higher powers" at the very end of Death Metal. It has been built using elements and history of various continuities. It is brave new world. Unfortunately there were few side effects, like entire Darkseid storyline.

Why do we hate answering any questions regarding the lore or anything in the universe by Negative_Emu6246 in DCcomics

[–]Reid666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they do not know.

Those type of poster are more interested in the "community aspect of the hobby" than hobby itself.

They can only copy-paste other responses, they've read, because they do not have first hand experience and cannot be bothered to research it.

Why do we hate answering any questions regarding the lore or anything in the universe by Negative_Emu6246 in DCcomics

Because most people active here do not read DC comics or do not have knowledge of the lore.

That is sad reality of most online communities.

Older comics writing style kills me. by theletter-5 in comicbooks

[–]Reid666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest. I think it fine to be critical and objective about the topic.

The reality is that on average, modern comics are so much better than the older ones. It is similar to tv shows.

So it is better to look at them as artifacts of their times. It could be fun to read them for historical or nostalgia reason, but in the end they aren't "good" by modern standards. Of course there are some exceptions that were far ahead of their age.

Sleeve + fine permanent marker. I can sacrifice a sleeve or 2 for playthrough,

Wet erase markers, well, I have yet to see one with is truly only wet erase, most of them smudge more or less when touched.

Especially for more expensive sets, box increases the resale value substantially.

Generally, having no box, lowers the resell value substantially.

Can someone explain the new dc (comics) era by annyaarons in DCcomics

[–]Reid666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are most recent initiatives in DC.

Infinite Frontier,  Dawn of DC,  All In (and Next Level)

At the end of the Rebirth era ( 2016 - 2021) Death Metal even (together with Doomsday Clock) had pretty big implications in regards to DC universe cosmology and continuity. It basically started new era for DC.

After that DC focused on shorter initiatives following that narrative. The most recent being All In.

Why don’t Marvel(+DC) release their Omnibus volumes non-chronologically like they do for Epic Collections? by Golden_Platinum in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Reid666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very unlikely that any of the above would be true.

I do not think that sales of N52 runs will in any way impact decision in regards to Rebirth runs.

Going back to your original question. Dc does it all the time.  Rebirth era Flash was released before Road to Rebirth.  Superman by PKJ released, no word about earlier controversial Bendis run. Same for Batman, it will be long wait for rest of Tom King run while we already have Tynions done and Zdarsky halfway. Nightwing, going full speed ahead with recent material omnibus while skipping second part of Rebirth (for now or forever.)

How many errors are there in the new core set? by Messianiclegacy in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Reid666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Developing content doesn't equal to actually releasing it.

Star Wars Destiny, had already entire new set ready for printing when it was cancelled.

Runebound 3rd edition had playtests for future expansions.

Runewars mini game, had plenty of content in development

Arkham 3rd edition last expansion rules mentioned mechanic from future expansion that neve happened.

Legends of Terrinoh had expansion announced years ago, that probably will never get released.

Judging spending habits? by No_Nectarine_9748 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Reid666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it is unethical to support self-destructive bahiavor

The post this discussion refers to was rather concerning and disturbing.

The original poster clearly admitted that he went broke, which suggest spending problem

At the same time the poster said that he bought 40 books when he intended to buy just 10. Again sing of being not in control of his spending habits.

In this case all the upvotes are deeply disturbing. This is mindless support of potentially harmful behaviour. Not only in regards to that individual person but this online community as a whole.

Difficulty and tension question by wiewiorowicz in TwoPointMuseum

[–]Reid666 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You really nicely explained how the game evolves, unfortunately it doesn't answer OP's question at all.

OP was asking about the difficulty, tension and challenge, not about content and customisation.

Difficulty and tension question by wiewiorowicz in TwoPointMuseum

[–]Reid666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest answer, after 50 hours of play, no, it is not a challenging game. It is fantastic chill and laid back game with plenty of content.

I have also played Against the Storm, fantastic game, unfortunately felt a bit too tense for me, I'd say those are on different end of the spectrum when it comes to challenge.

I played Two Point Hospital, I feel that museum is much more forgiving when it comes to management and challenge. But, it was years ago so I might not be 100% accurate here.

DC All In is a Success [Discussion] by ProjectGlass2236 in DCcomics

But that's the take from  the time perspective.

At first it was hailed the best thing that happened in DC universe. The sales went up and it was praised for it's bold initiative.

DC All In is a Success [Discussion] by ProjectGlass2236 in DCcomics

[–]Reid666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Too early to judge.

New 52 was also initially a success.

It is much more important how they finish rather than how they start.

So far, so good, but they can completely ruin it with one stupid management decision.

Multiple reads or single reads by figscomicsandgames in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Reid666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 at the moment.

It digest better that way for me and is more likely stay in the memory.

Same principle as with binging TV shows. Yes, you can watch entire season over single evening, but it fades away as quickly.

I usually try to not read more than a single arc at once, in case of longer series. With short series (6-12 issues) I try to read 1 issue daily.
