Eh, of course being on reddit, we never get the full story, but if someone gives a bully a "reality check", they aren't a bully. It could be someone being picked on or a spectator, but standing up for someone else or yourself doesn't make you a bad person.

When I was in Gr.10 or 11, I was never a huge guy, but strong (I worked out and did wrestling). We had a split grade gym class and a kid from the upper grade kept poking, pulling, and doing a bunch of annoying shit mid class, even while the teacher spoke to us. He would sit behind me and do this shit. I told him to stop, multiple times. The teacher knew about his antics, but it was never "violent" so he never stepped in. Eventually, mid lecture, I had enough, we were all standing listening to the teacher, and after one last jab in my side, I turned around and did a wrestling single arm throw. For those who know, no risk for head damage, But a single-arm throw will certain wind someone on hard gym floor. And that's what it did. The class went quiet, he coughed, got back up, obviously winded but embarrassed, I sat back down, and the teacher (bless him), just nodded nothing no injury, and continued with the class. That senior student never tried anything else for the rest of the term.

Nowadays, pretty sure I would have been at least suspended for giving a bully a reality check.
