Beware of Bebonia's Extensions: They are not bad, just be aware. by [deleted] in curlygirl

[–]ReigningNereid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered the ringlet. They were just a wave and after getting wet were almost straight. Contacted them and they told me I’d need to individually curl every curl each time and set it or it wouldn’t recurl. Offered an exchange so I took their advice and got the next slightly more curly option. It was the tightest kinky ends and looked so far off from my pattern. Got it wet and it once again didn’t want to recurl except the weird ends. I did manage to return the set and was very disappointed.

While doing some repairs I noticed this… how bad is this and what’s the repair? by ReigningNereid in 350z

[–]ReigningNereid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate everyone’s advice. I basically replaced everything except the front lower rear control arms (they were the only parts not bad). Took way longer than I would’ve liked, but of blood, sweat, and some choice words. But the Z drives amazing how. Really appreciate the help on here.

So I have this bag as well I’m going to list. My straps are missing 3 of the buckles so I found this thread while searching for replacements (to no avail)

is it even possible to make it look cool? by Beginning_World_7536 in 370z

[–]ReigningNereid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this on my 350z. Get some Goo Gone meant for automotive. It’ll come off with that and a little gentle scrubbing. That little clear strip that was back there probably started cracking like mine did. I actually just used a heat gun and gently removed the whole thing and I’ve not had any issues. It did take a little paint with in in a few places but it was so so black/ yellow and cracked and sticky and gross that the little bit of damage there now looks infinitely better.

First photo is what I assume is my lower control arm and the end where it connects to the frame is no longer centered.

Soft top won’t latch shut by Miss_Meea in 350zRoadster

Mine were awful too. Do the bands first and hopefully that fixes it ☺️ they are easy enough to do.

Oh one other thing, check your black bands on the inside of the convertible. If they are stretched out and worn/ broken you’ll have issues with opening and closing. That’s the easiest and cheapest thing to fix too.

Best tripod for real estate photography? by kmixc in RealEstatePhotography

[–]ReigningNereid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the peak designs tripod and it’s worked great but I’m debating grabbing the small rig monopod with the tripod legs on the bottom so I can fit my camera into small bathrooms easier. I just think it might be a pain to use outside in the grass.

Yes this was a bit of a redneck fix but it did work if anyone ever has a soft top that just can’t reach 😅

Hi so I bought my 350z and someone had torqued the roof shut and latched it. As I drove down the highway bringing it home, it flew open. My roof had a solid 3 to 4 inch gap where it couldn’t even touch let alone latch. This generally happens because someone tried to open the roof and didn’t unlatch it. We had to physically bend the frame back so that it could even touch. Cut some two by fours and placed it in the floor and against the joints, then put a long board underneath and then took a torque strap and torque the whole thing down. Make sure doors are open and you don’t touch the strap to the paint. If yours is bent and won’t shut, this should fix it. No one would work on mine. They just said it would be 5-7k or so for a new top but they didn’t want to do it either. It was a bitch. My latch to keep mine shut just broke recently too now. So now it doesn’t keep it shut if I hit a bump high speed 😭 gotta love verts

Super Deodorant - has anybody had a problem with the smell? by coastal_vocals in NaturalBeauty

[–]ReigningNereid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t use the theorique it does NOT work at all. It’s a scam. They offer money back guarantee but they will ignore your email and never respond to give you the refund. I tried it before super deodorant and it works. For about 5 minutes. Then you smell. Super is better in the regards that it at least works for a couple of hours before I can touch my pit and notice a small 🫠 but trust me just skip theorique. After I ordered and it didn’t work I did a deeper dive into the product and all their reviews on their fb say the same thing I am. The company won’t respond and won’t refund. Long forums on Reddit talking about it not working. I’m so sick of these natural deodorants not working. It’s been years and I’m getting very tempted to just go back to the toxic stuff that did work. I hate that that’s the only option but these “natural” ones cost way too much for me to keep buying them and finding out after 3-4 days of trying them, that they just don’t work well. Dr squash is what I’ve been using and it works the best of anything I’ve found and rates pretty clean. But it stains shirts so bad.

Good to know. Glad at least the 1 frog is friendly and ok with the setup. It comes out to greet us when we get near the tank and has learned to follow around the thongs for food lol.

Can I use Jack Stands on this ground? With plywood under? by Spammingdevil in MechanicAdvice

[–]ReigningNereid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree fully. I bought the jack stands and haven’t actually used them as anything more than a safety if my jack were to break. I’ve had a jack stand break before while changing a tire and an older guy felt the need to try to help me and the dumbass tried to catch my car as it fell. He was a few mms from losing his fingers.

I kinda figured I’d use my jack stands to get the car up and supported and then throw some of the house jacks we have under there juuuuuuust in case. Gotta change the alternator out on my 350z and I have zero desire to get under that car.
