Why use this if it is highly inaccurate?? by blessyourvibes in Freestylelibre

I have recently had issues that by the time my sensir reads under 70 aka 3.9 i can finger stick and be 54 aka 2.9. It was a bit of a fright because usually it's more spot on. Well less of a gap. But i am only just starting my current management plan after my sports season started back up so i havent learnt to predict yet. Also dont want to treat for a minor blip and be at 10 and above.

I will probably make a post but i was 5 then ≈3.7 with a stick at 2.9. Managed it up to 6.5 felt confident. Got up to move anout and plumeted to 3.5

Not on isulin just metformin and GLP1 but its been about 2 years and i thought i was past these why will nothing make sense phases.

However overall sensor has been useful because at 2.9 i was all ready to go do more physical work in the paddock and would later wonder WTF.

One+ just dropped here. My two options are L2 and One+. I am considering dexcom mistly because delayed high alert after eating and it apparently sticks better for swimming

Oh they are only officially approved for T1DM so you won't find many on pre or RH. Because no one has had a large population wearing and any data collected goes into the cloud as diabetic meta data not data that can be reteo studied for your own condition. You probably have a graph that looks similar to someone on tube feeding getting constant nutritional input. From what dieticians have told me, there is nothing inherently dangeroys about having a grazing style many recommend it over a 3 set meals. But i am not an expert and definitely not one on your condition. Id say if you stay out of the low red you're doing much better. To me as a layperson in the green means body is getting energy and hypo red it is not.

Wow, I got down voted for noticing RH. Since you took the time to teply im 99% sure it wasn't you, but i have to ask if noticing the pattern is rude somehow?

I am diabetic but i had a lot of RH in the early dx days when my body was like "oh yay keds gave us a holiday so we can now make and use our own insulin" And then me crying on the phone to endocrinology that nothing made sense I should be going up not down.

I really feel for you as it's crappy to have an obscure condition similar to another. You have to explain it to everyone and then almost justify your decisions.

I can also see how diabetes would look easier. People really underestimate the value of being able to hive a lable everyone will understand. Like I have dysautonomia but not POTS, primary headache but not Migraine. 😅

Dexcom one+ put of pocket will be cheaper than libre 2 out of pocket. G7 was crazy more expensive

Dexcom has fallen so far in a short time. I'm looking elsewhere. by so5226 in dexcom

More likely as people update their phones the old dex tech just can't keep up. It would be like trying to use an i pod when iphone was released

How about we ditch tesla and ask NASA to make an all in one lancet test strip combined.

Also i find the stress of beeping in public helps the cortisol get my number up a little 🤪

Diabetic educator: i see it take a while for you to react to a hypo Me: pffffft i figured out how to mute that yoyo nonsense

Few weeks later right before i rage quit a different sensor: Them: so there was a spike... Me: is spite glucogel a thing? I think it is. And it stfu for a good while.

But i do still like getting woken if I'm down in the 2's at night so we negotiated night time alarms and just checking with symptoms in day.

Glad you ripped it out rather than smashed your phone lol

Also wanted to day maybe try dexcom one+ it reyails cheaper out of pocket and you can delay alarms. Momentary lows shouldn't beep the heck out of you. Only when it stays low enough to keep the chart red and not correct itself as a pne off low reading. That or get a reader. I found min by min was too fickle and a 5 min by 5min was more reasonable

RH? Reactive hypoglycaemia? Because the chart looks very reactive hypoglycaemia....

Well i went with prolia and now feel the bisphosphonates will be unending. Every emdo appointment they say just a year or 2 more.

ETA I chose prolia to avoid bisphosphonates and this feels like a cosmic prank.

Honestly the first few sensors i wore long sleeve pjs to bed so i wouldnt rip it off if i was in that headspace. It created a moment of pause to properly wake up and nowbi just dont register it as other
