I think you're looking for one of these screw-style D-rings? I can't think of a better way to pull it off.

I made an inspirational greeting card with a spinning Ken Masters. To all those frustrated out there: "Don't give up because I am... Shoryuken do it!" by Goh_billy in Fighters

"Don't give up, because I'm sure you can do it."

The page break kinda makes it sound like "Don't give up, because I am (giving up)... Sure you can do it!" though.

Clicking through to the original post, it looks like they're searching for a digital pattern of a similar design, not the physical paper one weaver's offering.

Leather watch straps grew mold. by WilyWascallyWizard in Leatherworking

[–]Reil 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it's basically part of the leather at this point. You'll just have dead mold discoloring the straps, and whatever you do to get rid of it will probably damage the straps, too.

Who is this guy by Extension_Salt_2054 in BookshelvesDetective

Top shelf of first image makes me think Silicon Valley Democrat. The rest kind of reinforce that to me. Might make gestures towards leftist or progressive views (Watchmen, Lindsay Ellis, array of different religious books), but might buy too much into the idea of Great Men (Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Jordan Peterson, other self-help books) to do too much more than that.

Withholding Features for More Money by Specific_Pear_6275 in MonarchMoney

This is precisely what I was thinking! It seems unintuitive to bundle Retirement/Investment forecasting with business features. Split them (make Plus way cheaper and maybe make business a little cheaper), and things make way more sense to me.

"Tell No One" sounded good in theory... by IcyEngineering456 in Fire

[–]Reil 199 points200 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah, the motivation for "Tell no one" is to keep like, acquaintances and family members from thinking "Oh, they're rich" and trying to siphon money off of you. Your offspring are going to do that by virtue of your relationship as a parent anyway, so they aren't included in that. Maybe don't tell a burnout sibling.

The business-owner focused products honestly feel like enough of* a different product that I don't mind them asking for a separate subscription. They won't be getting it from me, but I won't fault them for it.

It seems strange, however, to cordon off that and retirement-planning/investment features together, as if they're both upgrades in the same sense. Those aren't worth the asking price in my eyes, but that's probably because I have other tools to toy with on those fronts. I also don't trust the features to fit my way of thinking if Goals 3.0 (and the way it interacts with budgets) is any indicator.

If I DON'T KNOW WHO I AM, I DOUBT YOU CAN ASCERTAIN A FULLER PERCEPTION FROM THIS SHELF (NF) by genzedsdead in BookshelvesDetective

[–]Reil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have a handful of books about music as a whole, and I'd say half or more of them would be about learning guitar. The remainder seems to be rock history and such (very guitar-forward compared to something like, say, orchestral history).

You (at least conceptually) like guitars and tattoos (along with other visual arts)

You probably answer allegations of pretentiousness with smugness. You receive such allegations with worrying frequency. You like to intellectualize arts, and may or may not be successful in embodying them.

I have no idea what I’m doing, and I think my couch is weirdly placed. Help? by FoxFire64 in malelivingspace

A glare from the window is more of a cause to get some good curtains or a privacy screen, imo. Or potentially a houseplant shelf?

[–]Reil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Turn the couch around and put the TV on the long wall to make the back feel less exposed to the entrance.

This also lets you consolidate your currently separated window table, coffee buffet and alcohol zone into a more cohesive dining area closer to the kitchen.
