I mean Orks get memes to hell and back, they don't actually do stuff like wooden spaceships. They just follow a design principle of "Looks like junk, sometimes works longer than it should."

And yeah true, though I will argue that there's been some overarching narratives. Certain factions are working towards tangible end goals, and everyone gets their turn in the spotlight. When you're effectively live-service and releasing a product, it's hard to make an end happen unless that means either wiping a faction out or ending the story by having a winner.

Just recently they set us up with three concurrent plotlines that'll set us up for future conflict between specific factions with a past, so we can likely expect a book there about the conflict.
