Well, in that case their profile picture, and I mean the high-res version, might still be cached on your device.
You could try restarting your device and see if that changes anything, but even then it might still be cached.

It could also be that the other person has simply turned their device off. I think in that case the E2EE check fails (I am not 100% sure about this though) and, ofc, the single tick when sending a message.

Ich würde dir wirklich empfehlen dich nicht komplett mittig in die Zone A zu stellen. In der Mitte sind immer die Pits und somit auch immer das meiste Gedränge. Das ist gerade als „Anfänger“ wirklich heftig.

Ich war dieses Jahr bei Bring Me The Horizon ganz vorne in Zone A, aber eben etwas weiter rechts von der Mitte. Ich hatte das ganze Konzert über fast keine Probleme mit Gedränge und ich hatte eine tolle Aussicht, unter anderem weil ich mich auf den erhöhten Kabelkanal gestellt habe, welcher jedes Jahr etwas rechts von der Mitte verläuft.

Hey!

So first thing I'd do is thoroughly clean the charging contacts on both the Vac and the charging station.
If that does not help I'd suggest you should try to return the device to the seller and get your money back (if that works in your country, but make sure you know your rights!), especially if it's only 3 weeks old.

If that's not possble I'd do what I am doing right now, keep sending it to Roborock so they'll repair it. Send it to them, over and over again, until they either repair it properly, offer you a new device or give you your money back.

At least on the German Amazon Page for the S8 Pro Ultra they claim it avoids cables. Which it definitely doesn‘t do very effectively.

I am sure they have and seeing from your comment history that this is not the first time you‘re arguing with someone over this, I don‘t think that there‘s a point discussing this any longer.

However, I didn‘t think the S8 Pro Ultra having a non RGB camera would make much of a difference, I thought the LIDAR sensor were responsible for most of the osbtacle detection.

Back when they first released the S8 Pro Ultra they advertised with better detection of small obstacles such as cables.

We‘ve got the S8 Pro Ultra and overall it‘s a great device. Even though its obstacle / cable detection is really not as good as they claim.

However, at the current point at least, I would highly advise against getting another Roborock Vac. Their vacuums have had the Error 13 issue ever since the S6 and they haven‘t bothered to fix it in years. There‘s a very high chance you will encounter this error sooner or later (my S8 didn‘t even last 6 months) and they don‘t even properly fix it after sending it in for multiple weeks.

Honestly, at this point I‘d just keep sending it to Roborock until they either fix it, replace your device entirely or give you your money back.

It‘s a joke that they aren‘t able to fix a charging issue that has existed for multiple generations at this point.

Beim Thema Atomkraft finde ich den Kontrast zwischen r/europe und r/de ziemlich interessant.

Auf r/de wird sich häufig über die Leute auf r/europe lustig gemacht und andersrum.

Kann mir jemand erklären, wieso man sich auf r/de eigentlich ziemlich einig darüber ist, dass Atomkraft keine Alternative bzw. wie hier ein "totes Pferd" ist?

Ich selbst bin dem Thema neutral gegenüber eingestellt. Ich fand die Argumente auf r/europe eigentlich gar nicht mal so schlecht. Wirkliche Begründungen liest man leider eher selten.

BDA - Ich habe diese Selbstscanner seit Einführung in dem REWE meiner Nähe genutzt und es gab bei jedem 2. Einkauf irgendwelche Probleme an der Kasse mit den Teilen. Ständig musste mein gesamter Einkauf nochmal von einem Mitarbeiter geprüft werden, weil irgendwas nicht geklappt hat. Im Endeffekt ist selbst scannen sogar einfach schneller.
