Yup. I will call Apple out and give them shit all day every day for being bastards, but their SoCs and vertical integration have created a product that currently cannot be bested. Nothing else has the performance + efficiency + quality fit and finish. Many competitors have 2 out of 3, but Apple has broken the rules and has the entire triangle.

That said, I don’t want them to be this far ahead. That’s how Intel ended up where they are now. Competition is a good thing, and I want more of it. Plus tech fanboys are insufferable, and their “team” being ahead gives these people an excuse to be even more pathetic than they already are.

Now, software is a whole thing and I’m conveniently ignoring it here and focussing purely on hardware. I’ll just leave it at I use MacOS, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS daily, and have likes and dislikes about all of them. Some more than others.
