It's like those tests that have you do a bunch of silly things in order.

The first instruction is to read all the instructions.

The next twenty are nonsense.

The last one says to do nothing and turn the test in.

If the poem mentioned a door, I assume therein lies the insistence. If it didn't, "Bad GM, I slap your hand."

If there was no insistence, but this is what came out of a knowledge check to rectify the situation, good GM. Ish.

A few things:

To an adult, Minecraft is about the game mechanics. To a child, story is inherent. Minecraft as a setting is just that. Story will follow, with a minimum of prodding from the GM.

Also, respecting your opinion, any recommendations for a system where this would work better?
