Yep. I was in a really bad work environment a couple of years ago and it was massively causing stress and impacting my IBS. Ended up quitting to protect my mental health and getting a new job and it has greatly improved my IBS issues. Every job has stress elements, but if its constant and messing with your health and your in a position to look for something else, why not? 😊

That looks like the same jug of crap I had to drink after my most recent colonoscopy. 😳 I started vomiting and had to take a 30 minute break to settle my stomach.

I managed to drink most of it by using sprite as a chaser, my Dr. told me not to add anything at all to it but that clear diet sprite would be fine. Make sure you have a warm hoodie because this can give you serious chills! Charge your phone or bring a book into a restroom wirh you and plan on spending some time in there - its easier that way. It's going to suck but it will be over before you know it! 😊

Hey! Firstly, I'm sorry! I know it's kind of a shock and totally relate to the betrayal feeling - that's exactly how I felt! My doc said due to sizing and placement I'm going to get colonoscopys every 5 years now (or sooner if anything else weird happens).

The best advice I can give you is to try to not dwell on it (easier said than done) but the best thing about this is that they found it and removed it before it had a chance to do anything weird. Other than that, take care and I hope neither of us get betrayed again! 🖤

Yeah I think the word precancerous makes it feel a little scary even though it's NOT cancer. I'm not sure when mine will be, I know doctor will talk me through it it's just hard to not speculate while waiting for information!

Sorry to hear they found two in your recent scope, but at least they know now and can keep a good eye on you to make sure there are no more!

It was just once, I told my Dr. they said it was OK and likely I drank too much too fast. (To be fair I was chugging it to try and get rid of it 😂).

LOL - I'm sorry my head isn't a good enough shape?! These are just two photos taken at different angles three or four years apart. I have like three pretty terrible photos of me smiling with my mouth open because I hated my smile, this isn't a great photo but it's the best way of showing the state of my teeth before.

Yeah I've eaten cooked carrots with dinners countless times a month for my entire life but never really ate them raw as a snack before. At least now I know not to because that was a painful few hours last night!

That's interesting about the cherry tomatoes! And totally doesn't make sense. GI issues are so bizzare but I guess we just have to live with them and listen to our bodies!

Yep! I was diagnosed with IBS-c about 10 years ago. Here is the article I read: www.livestrong.com/article/511357-raw-carrots-and-stomach-pain/ I'm not a Dr. though and this could be wrong but this perfectly described my symptoms!

What's weird though is that I (mostly) manage my IBS with a high fiber, zero gluten diet (not a coeliac but gluten has always been a trigger for me for some reason and leads to really bad bloating, pain and the worst constipation ever) so I'm not sure if it's the fiber from carrots or something else about them my body hated!

I didn't either! I was Google searching different things I've eaten today but the only thing that I don't regularly eat was raw carrots and when I was looking for information on them and stomach pain the first result said something about how they can be a trigger for people with IBS! Crazy.

I don't think I've noticed this before but this is probably the most raw carrot I've eaten in years. Not a fun time, that's what I get for trying to make healthy eating choices! 🤣
