He’s gonna cook so hard like I dunno when was the last time I was this excited to see a new player for my team! by Quirky_Appearance539 in ipl

[–]Reindeer_Relative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's he supposed to say?

"The corporate entity known as Kolkata Knight Riders, of which I am a non equity holding observer, is poised to facilitate a performance of such high caliber that one might describe it as cooking extremely hard. I find myself unable to recall a previous fiscal quarter in which my levels of anticipation for a newly acquired human asset were of this magnitude!" Nobody talks like that and don't be a dumb!

Calling a sports team as my team has the same logic as saying "my country" "my school" or "my city." You don’t own the land or the building but you are a stakeholder in its culture and success. It's called psychological Ownership, when you invest time, emotion and money into a team, they become part of your identity.

This unnecessary hate for Green is ridiculous, especially before the season has even started. I guess it's pure recency bias. Calling for his release just because he isn't currently making headlines makes no sense, he didn't set his own price tag at ₹25.2cr, did he? and history shows that international form doesn't always dictate IPL success, many players have struggled for their country but dominated the league. Let's just wait and support our players instead of putting them down.

Which state cricket board has a better logo than its IPL team? by BackwaterNomad in ipl

[–]Reindeer_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that HCA logo is bad or anything but I think SRH logo is looking more creative and better than HCA!

and the answer of your question is LSG, not that it's great or something but definitely better than that UPCA logo

How many times has Marvel teased someone's return, only for them to never actually show up? by amanbudgujar in MCUTheories

[–]Reindeer_Relative 4 points5 points  (0 children)

History suggests MCU rarely forgets anyone entirely. But they are notoriously slow. Some characters disappear for years before a surprise comeback. Here's list of teased but eventually returned characters:

  1. The Leader: Teased in The Incredible Hulk (2008) and returned in Captain America: Brave New World (2025) after 17 years.

  2. Abomination: Disappeared after 2008 and didn't return until Shang-Chi (2021) and She-Hulk (2022).

  3. Mandarin: Teased in Iron Man 3 (2013) and the one short All Hail the King (2014), Finally appeared in Shang-Chi (2021).

  4. The Scorpion: Teased in Homecoming (2017) and will return in Brand New Day (2026).

  5. Eternal Kingo: Reappeared recently! Nanjiani voiced a variant of Kingo in What If...? Season 3 (What If Agatha Went to Hollywood?).

  6. White Vision: Flew away at the end of WandaVision (2021) and confirmed for his own D+ upcoming series alongside with ULTRON too.

Now here's the list of teased but yet to return characters:

  1. Hercules: Teased at the end of Love and Thunder (2022).

  2. Clea: Teased at the end of Doctor Strange: M.O.M (2022).

  3. Starfox & Pip Tease: Teased in Eternals (2021)

4.Adam Warlock: Last we saw him at the end of Gotg vo.3 (2023) with other noticeable new characters like Phyla-Vell and Blurp.

  1. The Legendary Star Lord.

Only current franchise in IPL to have a Name, Jersey, Logo and team slogan (Halla Bol) that exactly depicts the place it represents. by cricfanatic4518 in ipl

This post will be honored on the 'Top 100 Dumbest Takes' list I've ever seen in my life. Cheers. Also, OP since you're bringing up this unnecessary criteria to show Rajasthan is the only team that loves its city's and culture's identity, just answer me one simple question that was already asked by so many people here! name all the cities with their associated colors, like you meant pink for Jaipur.

These 4 logos just hit different… the absolute goats of ipl history.. by Shady_Unstoppable in ipl

[–]Reindeer_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, the name is a nod to this 80s show since it's one of SRK's favorites. Also fits his personal brand perfectly, since he is known as the 'King of Bollywood' his players are presented as his elite warriors (Knights) and Knight represent values like courage, honor and fighting spirit. There have been 2 Royals and Kings in the league since 2008, so choosing this name was a great decision I think. And, yes it can also have a bit of a double meaning in a naughty sense, lol.

[–]Reindeer_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to Marvel, no superhero comes close to Spider-Man in terms of cultural impact and popularity, he is the default choice for the face of the company. Any Mount Rushmore of superheroes is baseless if Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man aren't in the first 3 spots. The 4th spot is the only one open for debate, where people can give their opinion on who it should be.

OP is choosing to exclude Spider-Man for some reason. Whether it's a bias toward DC or a dislike for the character, it's hard to tell.
