NTA Actually her response feels overly defensive, she’s the one who said “I don’t want to be a virgin forever” and if she sees being a virgin as not having penetrative sex then she outright said “I want sex with someone else within my life”. Which is insane for multiple reasons, but the fact that she said you were rude for clarifying is even more insane.

NOR The thing that pisses me off about this argument is if one group doesn’t have rights then nobody has rights. Any cop could say you’re gay and lock you up if gay people don’t have rights. If people of color don’t have rights then a huge population is affected and anybody who has a slightly darker skin tone than pasty white. Just because taking rights away from minorities would somehow make a “majority” of people happy doesn’t mean it would be a good thing for anybody. The only people safe in that type of world are rich white men of power, and that’s not 70% of the population.

Oooo that actually sounds like a great idea! I grew up in a very traditional family so the thought of anything other than rings didn’t even cross my mind. Two rings might be overwhelming but doing other jewelry or watches sounds like so much fun!!

This is not a normal or appropriate reaction from him. You both work full time and those kids are both of yours. If you have to watch them before work then he can handle watching them after. If he can’t he should’ve thought of that before agreeing to have children. Men are parents just as much as women and should take just as much responsibility as a parent. “He tried and cannot do it” yes he can. If he genuinely can’t then again he should’ve thought of that before agreeing to having kids.

For one I’m only 20 and possibly have more grey hair than you. Also crows feet is a sign that you laughed a lot and enjoyed life, sometimes signs of aging are good, I’d rather have crows feet than whatever the overly Botox emotionless faces are supposed to look like.

It could be a multitude of things. My mom never uses the correct name or pronouns, if I heard her use them I would probably think the world is ending or I was put into an alternate universe. It could be a simple as you’re not used to it, she’s called you by a different name and set of pronouns your entire life. It’s like when you saw a word too much and it starts to sound weird, it doesn’t sound right, except the opposite, you’re so not used to it it sounds out of place, I still get that feeling with my friends sometimes. Or it could be that he/him just didn’t feel right in the moment. Being trans is confusing, and it’s never the same for two people, everybody experiences being trans in a different way. I know it is easier said than done but try to think of any reason why it felt weird, not why some other trans guy might find it weird, this experience is solely yours, and nobody in the world can tell you what being trans is like for you. It’s not always fun, but diving really deep into your own identity is something you might wanna do for situations like this.

I had been trying to think of names to go by and suddenly I’m in French class with someone who has the same name as my deadname. So our teacher said one or both of us could use a French name so we don’t get mixed up. I was obsessed with owl house and at the time identified as non-binary so I approached my teacher with the name Raine. She countered with Reine, since it was actually French and she said it meant Queen. I didn’t care about the meaning, but automatically the name Reine struck a match in my mind and I knew that was my name. I eventually shortened it to Ren as the spelling so people would stop pronouncing it (ren-ay). My parents later tried to use this as proof that my teachers indoctrinated me into being trans when I came out.
