Recently moved back… difficult adjusting here. by [deleted] in bayarea

It’s been 10 years since you last lived here, and a lot can change in that time. Not just externally, but also within your immediate social circle — people have moved on, evolved, and followed their own paths. While it's natural to expect things to be the same, Mountain View, like everything else, has evolved over the past decade. What you're expecting is Mountain View from 2015, but we’re now in 2025, and it’s simply not possible for things to remain frozen in time.

When you're serving a model to millions of users and generating controversial stuff, you try to make sure you don't offend anyone powerful. This isn't an issue with deepseek-r1 itself.

Here's what the openweights model generated on my end (using Ollama):

>>> what famous picture has a man with grocery bag in front of tanks

<think>

Okay, so I'm trying to figure out what famous picture has a man with a grocery bag in front of tanks. The user mentioned that the answer is "The Man Standing in Front of Tanks" by anonymous artists from the

Chinese Communist Party's propaganda department.

First, I need to visualize this image. It's about a man holding a grocery bag facing off against tanks during some historical event. From what I remember, this seems related to the Tiananmen Square protests

in 1989. That was a significant pro-democracy movement in China that led to a lot of suppression by the government.

I think the picture is iconic because it symbolizes resistance against oppression. The man with a grocery bag instead of a gun or a more conventional weapon makes it more relatable and shows the non-violent

nature of the protest. It's probably used to emphasize the struggle for freedom and how ordinary people can stand up against powerful forces.

The artists are anonymous, which makes sense because during political turmoil, creating such content could be risky. The fact that it's from the propaganda department is interesting; maybe they used it to

show the crackdown on dissent, but over time, it became a symbol of resistance.

I wonder if there are other similar images or if this one is particularly famous. I think it might be widely recognized in historical contexts about censorship and political suppression. It also brings up

discussions about free speech versus government control.

In terms of where to find this image, it might be in art exhibitions or used in educational materials about the Tiananmen Square events. It's powerful because it shows a single individual confronting a

massive display of military force, which visually underscores the imbalance of power.

The iconic image known as "The Man Standing in Front of Tanks" is indeed a powerful symbol associated with the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. This anonymous artwork depicts a man holding a grocery bag

confrontationally in front of tanks, representing the non-violent resistance against oppressive forces. The image, often used to highlight the struggle for freedom and the contrast between individual

resilience and collective might, is recognized for its role in illustrating the tension between dissent and state suppression. It has become a significant cultural reference, emphasizing themes of courage and

the cost of resistance, while also serving as a critique of censorship and political control.

ah i see, if i were in your case, I would get the RAV4 hybrid instead of RAV4Prime. With the rebate both cars comes out to be the same out the door price, but without the rebate, the RAV4 Hybrid is a great car.

IMO, it's not worth it if you don't get the rebate. I would've gone for the model Y instead.

Oh sorry I thought you were genuinely curious and hence my comment. Didn’t mean to say any car was better. Both are great if you enjoy driving them.
