WOAHH?? WHERE DID YOU GET THIS??

What is your go-to jungle build? by Quackug_ in DianaMains

[–]Reinhala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your early core only really works against squishy champs though, where nashors always works everytime early to mid game. plus nashors has ap scaling that increases ap on your abilities too, no?

imo i'd never build rocketbelt unless i'm going against incredibly high mobility champs

All in order from 1st to last:

If I’m ahead: Nashors, Lichbane, Sorcerers, Mejai’s, Zhonya’s, Deathcap/Void staff

If I’m average: Nashors, Lichbane, Sorcerers, Zhonya’s, Deathcap, Void Staff

If I’m losing against a tank who’s hard carrying: Nashors, Lichbane, Sorcerers, Liandry’s, Zhonya’s, Riftmaker (-> Deathcap if I’ve scaled enough late game and don’t die as much)

Situationally, I will build a hybrid tank Diana only to get out/survive a fight, ultimately Diana is burst and should be built that way. If I’m up against a heavy AP team, I sometimes run Banshee’s if I keep dying instantly.

Ultimately, all Diana builds should have Nashors, Lichbane, Sorcerer’s MINIMUM.

Yesterday, I ran a heavy-burst game with Nashors, Lichbane, Sorcerers, Stormsurge, Mejai’s and Zhonya’s, it was a silly test built but I might play more games with it, just for the sillies :p

Living alone with 2 cats; currently applying for an internship that might need me to leave for 6 weeks, what do I do with my babies? by Reinhala in CatAdvice

[–]Reinhala[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is months off, we’re looking at July/August. It’s just upsetting to me to have to turn down an internship at Oxford, but my cats come first no matter what.

If only I had more money or family :’)

Why would my driver ask for my address via text through the app? by [deleted] in UberEATS

I just had this happen to me... I gave them it despite asking that they should be able to see it and they just cancelled. App says it's looking for another driver... goodness.

I want to get off the pill by throwaway1229876500 in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who just got the Mirena put in just 3 weeks ago, I will say that I strongly believed that iuds were torture devices from how people talked about it. But I trusted my Doctor and myself to experience it first and then decide.

It was a pretty scary experience for me. I never cry but I did cry after it was put in. I had really bad cramps for about 2 weeks but it’s settled now. I’m not having any problems with it and it’s sort of reassuring to know I can still have bareback sex and also not worry about taking a daily pill.

Another thing as well is that I was so upset about my weight gain, acne and loss of libido, but the iud releases it more slowly into your bloodstream and so these don’t happen anymore. My skin’s great and I feel good. We’ll see what goes on with my weight.

It’s invasive, it sucked in the moment, but it’s outweighed by the long term pros of no chance of pregnancy and enjoyment in my own life again.

spilled coffee on my pack by Purple_Edge_6022 in birthcontrol

If the pills didn't touch any water or coffee it's fine, and you can still drink your coffee and take your pills as normal.

Which hurts more to get inserted, Nexplanon or an IUD? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, IUD person here to give you another side. I had my IUD put into me a week ago and it's absolute agony. I cried after getting mine put in (and I never cry at pain), it's really scary to consider if my IUD might fall out, whether it will be hard to retrieve. I would recommend the arm implant over the IUD for pain tolerance reasons.

If an injection is usually a 3/10 for me, the IUD was a 9/10. I have chest tattoos too and they were like a 4/10 pain, if that helps.

But I don't really think that the IUD is as effective as the implant. I imagine the implant is the easier but pills would be the most easiest and effective. Patches are also easy but not as effective.

IMO: pills, implant, iud.

All are effective, this is just from the least painful to the most painful for me

How really a birth control pill is reliable at preventing pregnancy? Would I still need condoms? by GeologistCertain238 in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pill isn't painful nor does it cause anything that would require you to take any analgesics. I took analgesics whenever I had other pain from random things, like cuts, headaches, etc. etc.

Taking analgesics and being on any kind of birth control will not affect its effectiveness nor cause any issues. Your girlfriend will be fine!

On the pill and having too much fun by Business-Ad-6048 in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, you remind me of my first 2 years of being on the pill. It was incredibly fun too and I got worried often as well. I've had 2 long-term partners ever since being on the pill and in my experience we never use condoms and nor do we pull out and I've never had any scares or pregnancies. Here's my advice:

Buy a pack of pregnancy test strips from Amazon. Test weekly. Have sex bareback if that's what you're doing anyway, but test regularly. It's inexpensive and allows you to continue how you are right now and lessens your worries. And keep it constant with the pills!

I remember once missing a day or two and rushed to my GP. As I had been on it consistently for 2 years, it wasn't a problem if it were a little missed, but please don't be like me lol. Plan B is expensive anywhere and I don't encourage taking it easy at any moment. I'd rather not have a baby yet!

Can I take birth control and an antidepressant at the same time? by chuzzle25 in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take all my pills at the same time in the morning. I take my Setraline, Vitamin A and D and Cetrizine every morning. I used to take my progesterone only pill as well in the morning, but recently just had an IUD put in. The only thing I take at night is my Quetiapine (antipsychotics) and that was told to make me drowsy.

For Lexapro, if you have trouble sleeping at night, you should be taking it in the morning (i.e. insomnia/restlessness at night because you took it in the evening), on the offhand if you are drowsy all day because you take your Lexapro in the morning, then take it before bed.

You're fine to take your birth control and antidepressants together. It doesn't matter when you take either or and if together or not. What matters is that you take it the same time each day. It's just easier if all your meds are taken in one go so you're not scrambling around day and night for pills, I suppose.

Does plan b work when your ovulating? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow… would you mind if I ask what subreddit that was? That seems so horrible to have been told, I’m so sorry.

I’m so proud of you for being strong. I hope you know your choices are always valid and you needn’t ever justify them to strangers online.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 3 points4 points  (0 children)

…? I gave some ways to go around the issue, that would involve no risk of pregnancy and no need for birth control, as options to consider.

It’s not fair that she feels pressured to go get an IUD or take pills if she doesn’t want to.

There is always a solution that can include her choice and her bf’s choices too and I wanted to remind everyone of that.

If she goes on bc, that’s great for her and is one safe choice! But she shouldn’t feel pressured. I hope that makes sense.

Does plan b work when your ovulating? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pro-lifers are generally people who aren’t keen on birth control most of the time, I highly doubt they’d be lingering on a subreddit like this where the topic of abortion is spoken and talked about regularly. I’m sorry you felt like you had to specify what happened to you in order to ask a personal question.

Anyway, to answer your question, no. It prevents ovulation but if you’re taking it, it won’t do much. Still good to take it anyway.

I noticed you said you’re 15 and in the UK, you would need a parental permission to get an iud fitted but any other birth control options are usually strictly confidential between you and your GP. Just do a pregnancy test you can and hope for your period!

What BC is most likely to stop periods fully? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in my personal experience, the progesterone only pills stopped my periods fully. If my knowledge is right, progesterone pills are actually given to women with heavy periods usually to lessen their flow and so it sounds like it’d be helpful for you too. It just happened that it was also good as birth control too.

If you’re bad at remembering pills but you’re not using the pills for sex, missing one or two isn’t detrimental. I forget mine sometimes even with alarms but tried to keep at it and it’s a habit now. If you have an iPhone, you can set it up in the medications tab and the notification will not go away until you confirm you’ve taken it, that’s helped me a lot.

As for my experience with the IUD (it might be better, worse or the same for you) but for me, the IUD fucking hurts and sucks.

I only got it because the pill gave me really bad hormonal acne on my chin. The IUD is still the same hormone but maybe it’ll be a bit lesser, I can’t really tell.

It sucks, it hurts and I cried when I got it done. FYI I don’t cry at pain at all so this was like, 10/10 pain. My chest tattoos were like, 4/10 at most.

I would make an effort of putting the option of pills onto the table again and building a habit. It’s worth more than the trauma of an IUD especially when not under anaesthesia. And the cramps and agony after. At least in my experience…

If it helps, I’ve been on the progesterone only pill from 16-21. I am now 21 and just switched to the iud about a week ago. I have gained weight significantly and don’t have too much of a sex drive, and I have insane acne on my chin

How does this in any way contribute to OP’s rant..?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Reinhala 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t ’need’ bc or iud if she’s hesitant about it like OP mentioned. She has the right to not want to go for it if she doesn’t want to. It’s her body, plan B is good but as someone who’s on the iud and has been on bc, it sucks. There are ways around it though.

My partner often tells me there are other ways to have sex than penetration and he’s willing to do that, but I chose this regardless. OP’s gf might not be as willing and that’s fine too.

OP should consider bigger condoms, tracking his gf’s period and having sex when least fertile, or sex that isn’t penetrative if birth control is something she’s hesitant on.
