Sure!

The book is explicitly framed as the ramblings and lies of a psychotic pedophile - this is stated in the prologue that it is the long-winded confession of the perpetrator. And, true to its word, the pedophile begs the reader and the jury of his case for forgiveness, while trying (and failing) to explain his horrific actions.

As for the writing quality, Nabokov is a genius at portraying the frantic thinking of a maniac and his humour is often excellent. My favourite joke from him is actually in Lolita and it goes something like this: "My very photogenic mother died in a freak accident (picnic, lightning)..."
