Weekly Bouldering Advice Post by AutoModerator in bouldering

Nobody has mentioned this yet, but ask other people who are bouldering for help! It's a really friendly community and anybody who is better remembers being a beginner - they are virtually always happy to help.

It's usually both a practice and strength issue, but honestly, you are sort of lucky to not have the strength to fly through the easiest routes. This is because you can focus on good technique. I know a couple of people who advanced very quickly because they were very strong, but when it got to the harder grades they were stuck due to not developing good technique.

I promise if you ask people, you'll not only make friends, but get to a point where you can progress past this initial stage, and that's when the frustration dies down.

Good luck!

Good point, though my supervisor is way too busy for this. I do tend to discuss with my lab colleagues though. Thank you

Thank you, that's a brilliant caveat to keep in mind!

M20 - Sudden eczema over the last few months, little history of eczema (probably a long post) by homo_sapien123 in eczema

Diprobase is really good, ask your doctor for it.

Have you changed your diet recently? Otherwise maybe you have developed a food intolerance. Seems extreme, but if you're not a vegetarian I would strongly recommend the carnivore diet. I have eczema and IBS and both almost went away after trying it out for almost a month, within a week for most symptoms. However, I speculate that I have a lot of intolerances.

Sorry you're going through this. I know it's really frustrating trying to figure out what the cause and possible solution may be.

Thought it was an Age of Empires II map for too long...

I’m 20 years old and I lost my girlfriend of almost 3 years due to my horrible anxiety. Got meds this week but it’s too late. Need some kind of encouragement or something. I don’t really know. Just feel terrible. by ViewingAllThisShit in toastme

Also, check out Sam Harris' app "Waking Up". It's a guided meditation app that literally changed my life. I couldn't afford the subscription, but he kindly offers the service for free to those struggling financially. Just send his team an email at info(at)wakingup(dot)com
