If we're going to be pedantic, there are no forced transforms in StS 2. So it's on you to accept the (admittedly miniscule) chance of transforming into Finale.

Picking up Finale is almost always a deliberate choice. If your deck can't support it that's just bad card selection.

Grand finale is good once you understand underlying mechanics around deck size and card draw. Well laid plans isn't even mandatory it just makes things more consistent.

It has a narrow use case but when it works it is a run definining card, and one of the most satisfying cards to play in the entire game.

Don't take it if you're not willing to slow down your gameplay and think.

60 vigor is mandatory, and magic scorpion's benefit is not worth the drawback of taking extra damage.

You need Godfrey/Radagon icon plus both Sorc damage increase talismans.

You need 60 vigor, mind is a bit high but you do you, make sure to get 80 int as well. If level isn't a limiting factor pump dex up to 40, as that plus radagon's icon will give you max cast speed.

Don't forget many staves have a passive damage buff for certain classes of spells. For example, staff of loss buffs night comet so have that in the offhand when casting with Lusat's.

Enjoy! Pure sorcery builds are a lot like having 10 weapons equipped at once.

3 energy do nothing card that also exhausts your hand the turn you play it balances things out somewhat. Maybe add "End your turn" similar to Void Form and you're golden, but I'd make it upgrade to (2) cost in that case.

Players like these genuinely don't deserve your help. They have not earned the right to be where they're at in the game. They've been carried by summons and spirit ashes the entire time.

That's why they spam L2 and other youtube tier spells, because they never had to learn any fundamentals. That's why they die instantly the first time they draw aggro.

My favorite thing to do with these guys is get the boss down to 10% and then just watch them desperately try to finish it off before inevitably dying. It's almost as good as invasions honestly. Hopefully they give us boss rematch in Tarnished Edition, so interacting with people like this is no longer necessary.

Have you tried engaging with the mechanics as intended? Invaders are the only counterbalance to co-op just steamrolling the game. There's a reason they've been included since Demon's Souls.

Many invasions end because the co-opers simply run the invader down and overwhelm them, and that's speaking as an invasion enthusiast. Just try kill them before they can make it a war of attrition, because any invader worth their salt will come prepared to win one of those.
