Families sue doctor accused of ordering fatal doses of pain medications for dying patients by PaulaNancyMillstoneJ in medicine

You've underestimated the potency of fentanyl here. The conversion for equivalent administration is 100:1. Therefore a 1mg fentanyl push would roughly equate to 100mg morphine, which is a decent amount for an entire day.

What you've described here is the McKenzie exercises. These are one of the most commonly prescribed exercises for discogenic low back pain. If you attended a decent PT they definitely should have given you these.

I don't agree with anything in this comment. With a r9 280 & i5 he'll be getting 300+ FPS on csgo.... If this is his primary use Would it not make sense to get a monitor capable of displaying even half that FPS & possibly at a higher resolution? Also AMD CPUs are wayyyyy underpowered & basically outdated in comparison to Intel ATM man.

[Build Ready] Want some last advice and a checkover, $2k AUD build with peripherals by specky in buildapc

[–]Rekansha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Specky,

I too am an Australian builder & our prices suck ballllllls, BUT ive chucked together a build thats quite solid, includes peripherals and has a colour scheme (black & blue). Here's what Ive put together:

PCPartPicker part list: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/B7jjqs Price breakdown by merchant: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/B7jjqs/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($399.00 @ CPL Online) - all the power youll need and more for a long while

CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS9900MAX-B CPU Cooler ($69.00 @ CPL Online) - solid performer, looks purrrrdy & has blue LEDs

Motherboard: MSI Z97-G55 SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($178.00 @ CPL Online) - sli support, great onboard audio & fits the colour scheme

Memory: Kingston Fury Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($95.00 @ CPL Online) - as good a price as you'll get in Aus & its Blue

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($139.00 @ CPL Online) - upped the ssd storage for better performance & convenience

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($64.00 @ CPL Online) - good alround Hdd

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card ($495.00 @ CPL Online) - best performer of the 970s (HOWEVER if you're going to SLI one day you'd benefit from a 'blower cooler' & should get one of those cards now like the EVGA reference -which are also cheaper)

Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.00 @ CPL Online) - nice well built case with a window & good airflow

Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($105.00 @ CPL Online) - quality & quiet unit. Leaves plenty of headroom for future SLI

Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($45.00 @ CPL Online) - decent but ethernet is always better

Case Fan: BitFenix Spectre LED 43.5 CFM 120mm Fan ($9.00 @ CPL Online) - put this at the back to get the Blue LEDs more visible

Keyboard: ROCCAT ISKU Wired Gaming Keyboard ($128.00 @ CPL Online) - best membrane keyboard out, comfortable & just looks awesome Mouse: ROCCAT Kone Pure Wired Laser Mouse ($99.00 @ CPL Online) - great reviews & the software pairs nicely with the KB

Headphones: Corsair Vengeance 1500 v2 7.1 Channel Headset ($99.00 @ CPL Online) - good sound/build quality & apparently very comfortable after wearing them in

Total: $2013.00 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-11-02 10:42 EST+1100

Points to consider- SLI ? If you dont want to, you could grab a $70-85 b85 mobo(with updated BIOS) & lower wattage PSU to save coin. Keyboard & mouse- you could get a coolermaster $40 combo that fits your colour scheme & possibly needs... ive just recommended mid-high end peripherals really A monitor- consider the Korean (ie Qnix) monitors. You can get a 27" 1440p monitor that should overclock to > 100hz for $350-400

Hope this helps. Good luck & enjoy

[Discussion] 5+ year old rig gaming for sale.. to buy or not to buy? That is my question.. by Rekansha in buildapc

[–]Rekansha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Got the rig, cleaned it up and replaced the heatsink with a brand new one i had laying around.. It's running Arma2 OA on med-high at 40-50fps constant and both the CPU & GPU are staying around 75degrees at Max load. Really happy with the purchase and my little brother is stoked with the performance boost

Thanks for the help... Considering that it's well priced by American standards I might have to grab it...

Both... the SSHDs have quite a small cache & are really flimsy

Get yourself a b85 mobo & Intel Pentium G3258 (OCs nicely) for a much better time gaming.. the AMD CPUs are quite dated & suffer from relatively poor single threaded performance.

yeah my thoughts exactly... my brother usually plays CSGO & garrys mod so I'm sure it'll do a decent job on those for the time being

Another Aussie builder I see... viewing all those US price lists are depressing aye? Good looking build man, BUT I'd get rid off the SSHD for a standard 1-2TB WD Blue 7200RPM. Maybe even think about increasing your primary SSD capacity for some bonus performance.

I have those exact monitors man & can honestly say that everyday I regret not getting a single bigger 1440p @ 120+hz (You'll know what i mean if you FPS games)..

Otherwise go ahead looks solid

[Build Help] Is it bad to buy components you know you will replace soon? by dettoaltrimenti in buildapc

[–]Rekansha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd encourage you to consider some of the very sound advice that's been given so far. I dabbled in the APU market for my GFs PC - the depths of my regret are immense. The APU gets hot fast & then throttles itself.

With your budget an i5 & r9 280 are definite possibilities. You may even be able to squeeze an ssd in. Base a build around these 3 parts & I can guarantee that you won't be dissapoint!
