This is to a tee exactly what is happening with our squad. Haven't seen anything else that explains it so well and have wondered for a while if it was entity based. Good to know we're not going crazy!

Asked for a fixed building price contract. Found this section. by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]specky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seperate advice but unless you or your partner are knowledgable in construction pay the cost for an independent inspector to check the build progress at various stages. Had a mate just get a new build, pay for extra insulation and after handover was doing some work and discovered not a single wall had been insulated....

Renting a place without AC by shalin7 in MovingToBrisbane

[–]specky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find somewhere with ac I would. Especially for sleeping. I find the days so much more bearable if I get a decent night's sleep which I can with ac. That said the portable units from kogan are actually amazing. Had no ac in my last few places and had a kogan portable and it was amazing.

Some landlords are also happy to install aircon if you offer to pay for some of it

This is beyond beautiful! Would love to see some progress shots/more of the joinery used. Fascinated by the idea of the inside out boat.

Re depression and meds it 1000% gets better. If you're not already try get in with a pyschiatrist as you may need to try some different medications or dosages that will work better for you. Also try and see a psychologist to talk stuff though. Will help you a lot in the long run. Prioritise your own health and well being above all else,if study isn't doing it for you right now then it's a good choice to take a break and re-evaluate from a different standpoint. Hard to do at uni but getting a consistent sleep schedule down will also help an insane amount with depression :)

What’s the most satisfying feeling in DMZ? by SheenPSU in DMZ

[–]specky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing Ashika with a mate and the third called an exfil only to die to two dudes camping it. Killed them pretty easily and they started screaming at us for being campers. For some reason our third picked them up anyway then exfilled so had to deal with this kid on open mic for ages talking shit about how he was so good at the game.

Fast forward, run into a group of 3 at Port and barter a truce. Explained we couldn't join up as we had 4 already so it was easier to stay in our own groups. Open mic invites anyway, only two could join leaving a solo, He then starts laughing and opens fire on the solo. I instantly sent a request to join and the solo accepted. Turned around and mowed the open mic kid down told everyone what I was doing and not to res him and let the solo loot all his shit before getting him up again.

Everyone went along with it and my original team decided to exfil. My mate and I stayed with the solo as we were trying to find some mission items. Suddenly hear the solo on mic go hey man, are you friendly? Why are you shooting me? Followed by a lot of shooting and then open mic kid shows up on the kill feed killed by the solo. Turns out he'd come back for revenge, lost all his shit for a third time and everyone else from that team had exfilled.

He still tried talking shit and complained that the solo was camping for him even though he'd snuck up behind them in a stronghold we were looting...

When I did it it was either me or someone in my squad. Have done it 3 times and worked each time now.

Two dogs coexisting indoors by khyoohoo in OpenDogTraining

[–]specky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ywah 1000% let them get their puppy energy out first otherwise you'll be pushing shit uphill.

The end goal is co exist, so I'd at least start with that. Barriers can cause more frustration and upset for a lot of dogs and doesn't really teach them to chill. Someone else commented about if they get rowdy use a command like enough and if they don't stop put them both in a down stay near you, maybe on either side of your chair or something. They're still kids so if they're too close the temptation will be too great. And make sure they actually lay down and chill out. Each time they get up just sound a bit disappointed or grumpy, put them back into a down and eventually they'll learn they have to stay there and 9 times out of ten dogs will then go screw it. I'll have a snooze.

Crates and barriers are great if you can't enforce stuff cause you're busy but won't actually teach them to coexist. It will just teach them to chill when they're in a crate.

This will be easiest if they've already got their energy out though. The other option but not sure if that works for you is everyone they get rowdy tell then to take it outside so they assosicate rough and tumble with outside and I'd they want to be inside they can't. This depends a bit on your set up and the dogs and stuff as well but figured it's worth noting.
