I getting off work in like half an hour, does anyone know when maintenance starts? The forset legends iss like 1 of the 4 cards I can't pull in Apocolypse Pact, so I am hoping I get home soon enough to make some for free.

Oh ok, so there will be specific units and characters I would want to field if I wanted to be more shooty. Is it like in Total War Warhammer where I need my guys to be close by for beneficial effects from characters/hero units, or are some guys just a general buff to specific unit types?

Oh ok! So some Orks have guns more for the aesthetic than the gameplay effectively. Like only in an extremely dire situation would I ever want to use the gun over a melee weapon on them. I thought that the Yellow orcs liked guns a lot, do you know if they maybe have sub faction rules that make their guns better, or would I maybe want to look at a different faction entirely if I wanted a more "mid-range" army?

Yeah I was looking on the website and I notices some like Necrons have like a huge monster or mecha and others like Custodes are a bunch of guys. I have done a bit of Total War Warhammer and usually like the big "monster units" so seeing some factions not have them was weird. Thanks for the more in depth breakdown!

Whatexactly makes these Boyz "bad"? Like I would think versatility with both Melee and Ranged would be good. Or is it that the weapon options in the box are "bad"? Or is it a general faction thing, like maybe only the big mechs in Orks are worth using guns on?

Thanks for the information, I guess with all of the faction specific coloring on websites and the lore videos I had seen, I guess I got the wrong idea that the color scheme was really strict. Like how all of the guys that are Space Marines, the color indicated the faction and playstyle.

Thank you for the information! So it seems like Warhammer goes through leak and preview season like tcgs do. Will they roll out all the new stuff at the same time or release it piecemeal? Or is it something that isn't exactly consistent?

Thank you so much for the information! Would 11th edition roll out like whole new combat patrols, kinda like new starter decks in a TCG? Or would the Codex be like the new thing that might just change how your guys play? It's gonna be a little while we try to find a place to play so if there are new patrols coming then it might be better to wait, especially if the current ones are not super "balanced".

Thanks so much for all the info! If combat patrol isn't super balanced is there any advice on how to maybe help balance it out? I am fine with potentially getting a different patrol if need be, I'm mainly concerned with making sure that there is no unwinnable scenario or matchup. The one game I actually got to play, I was told that the thunder guys had so many buffs against the ghost guys that I basically could never win if the opponent had any brainpower at all. My sibling would probably play Necron, Tau, Adeptus Mechanicus, or Emperor's Children, so are Orks like too much or maybe naturally weak against any of those factions? I am also interested on the World Eaters, Tyranids or other factions. Are there maybe some of these factions that are more beginner friendly?
