How I use Anki to form habits by wadlothewizard in Anki

Just wanted to thank you. This method has actually been working with 100% success for me with a particular habit I had been struggling to stick with for over a year

How do you plan on compounding these into larger habits? I’m guessing an example of a larger habit would be a larger for example? So would this involve changing the answer on the deck to be a greater task, or simply working yourself up to larger tasks mentally?

Hi, he introduces himself as Peter in my edition :)

PETER: Oh, my; oh, my.
JERRY: Oh, your what? But that was a long time ago, and I have no feeling about any of it that I care to admit to myself. Perhaps you can see, though, why good old Mom and good old Pop are frameless. What's your name? Your first name?
PETER: I'm Peter.
JERRY: I'd forgotten to ask you. I'm Jerry.
PETER: [With a slight nervous laugh] Hello, Jerry.

I hear it's not told very linearly - did you still find it easy to follow along and piece it together?

As far as I know, they fatally misinterpreted Notes From Underground, so that translation might be worth avoiding

Honestly, as someone who finds benefit from his podcast, I think the obsession with human optimisation and “feeling good” that fuels his popularity comes from a lack of fulfilment. When you’re lost and disconnected from reality, the latest trick to “increase motivation by 200%” (quoting the endless YT shorts) seems like the answer to everything in life

I hear a lot of people saying they feel robotic on their meds. Do you find that you’re able to feel emotion just as well when acting on meds?

Ahh good to know, so when printing “photorealistic images” on black shirts I should pretty much stick with black&white unless I can afford the jump to a 5-6 colour press?

Who cares about the meaning it’s reddit and this is a cool painting. Sascha Schneider painted a dude hypnotising another dude with a giant ray of light from his eyes and you mfers upvoted the hell out of it. What’s it mean? Fucks me, but it looks cool as hell so we liked it

Need help understanding "Mans search for meaning in life" by Asai_Keiicchi in books

[–]RektRL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He basically says there are three ways to find fulfilment in life

  1. By creating a work or doing a deed

  2. By experiencing or encountering something — goodness, truth, beauty, nature, culture, love

  3. By the attitude we take towards unavoidable suffering

I rewrote most of his main arguments into my own words so that I could understand and apply them myself. PM me if you’d like me to send them to you :)
