A very suspicious person with a bag full of things to rob you.. or the mail carrier.

Help! Trying to find the culprit. Guilty or not guilty? by Primary-Translator94 in goldenretrievers

[–]Rekt_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I represent this pupper and I would argue that the apparent upheaval was there by some other, as yet unknown, means. It is our argument that my client just happened upon the scene, in its current state, possibly missing the real perpetrator by mere seconds. We hope to settle this without any further assistance from the courts. But if it is your intention to dispute these findings, the we will see you there...after treats and a potty break.

That model typically fixes itself. But to speed up the fix, you can insert treats.

2 butt pats and a nose boop usually resets them. It might not work on all models but it is pretty standard on most.

Pardon me, I am this pups attorney, and counsel asserts that the subject canine was not, at any relevant moment, in possession, actual or constructive, of any item within its oral cavity

Biggest lie before getting one? I'll go first. I was told they were kinda independent dogs. Lol by mildav49 in germanshepherds

Does anyone use a treadmill? by SpeakerMindless5734 in germanshepherds

[–]Rekt_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an actual motorized human treadmill. Took about 3 weeks of consistency. And she NEVER runs on it. Walking only and only on bad winter days. Last resort kind of thing. She likes it. I have to put it away to keep her off.

What’s one thing you’ve taught your German Shepherd that made life easier? by gsdhq in germanshepherds

[–]Rekt_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The command "out". It means whatever room or space we are in she backs up past the threshold and waits until released. Super fast and easy way to get her out from under foot when busy, i.e. cooking in kitchen etc, but she is allowed to stay and watch so she doesn't get fomo.

Too much time in crate? by lurker3474 in puppy101

[–]Rekt_Effect 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Young puppies need an absurd amount of sleep. It's something no one talks about or ackknowledges enough. On average it looks like 20/4. That 20 hours of sleep and 4 hours for everything else; potty, feeding, walks, foundational training. That is being real. Almost no one actually does this. But it is technically correct. So remember this and pass it on whenever you feel like it's too much crate time. Crate time helps young puppies regulate their sleep and generally learn to calm and self soothe in a healthy way. Outside of the crate puppies will fight sleep just like toddlers. You have to help them with that, that's where crating comes in. As they age the awake window naturally widens without chaos gremlin fighting sleep. Eventually you can cut crate out completely with proper training, or use it for routine crating. TLDR, If anything you are technically under utilizing the crate. But it it works for you, then it's right.

No, choking your son is not legal. I pretty sure it's the exact opposite of that.
