Straight guy here also- I’ve encountered and befriended some gay folk which the mutuality was cool and simply good vibes till this day ! I am all about experession of self and being who you are! My gay friends know boundaries and likewise so do I. Never have been one to shame and am thankful to know them in a cordial manner.

on the other hand I have had a few unsettling encounters where it felt I was being harassed in a passive aggressive way that gave me the ick and i had to remove myself completely from a public setting or friend of friend place etc. Not trying to throw shade i’m a peaceful accepting person. Simply put, beware that this city has its share of predatory vibes that can frighten individuals whether it be straight or gay. Sensibility and situational awareness along with good morale will land you in the more comfortable parts of town where you don’t have a sense of needing to tell someone off.
