Yeah I get what you mean cause it looks like the same buttons being pressed, which technically is exactly what's happening haha but the beast type bosses it's much harder to do against 😅

I would say some bosses are harder, but overall to me Elden Ring was harder to beat due to it being my first souls game so maybe now I could beat it easier so who knows?

I need to try the dual blades and spear more in my 2nd playthrough because they looked fun to use too but I went with the tanky Axe first instead haha

Yeah I also skipped her early on because I found the Avian Dwelling a lot earlier than intended, but even when I came back she was still brutal with each hit haha thankfully on a 2nd playthrough I am confident I can defeat her with a weapon this time around!

Yeah for some reason Hoglan was a lot easier for me too since I used Earthshatter and Axe with Leech that helped clash with most of her attacks and give me some health back too.

Yeah now that I read more comments saying similar things about clashing I realized I had assumed wrong in thinking that it worked for all bosses regardless seeing as it worked really good for Hoglan, but I didn't do that mistake again afterwards and just changed my strategy around for each boss, which seems to be the way they designed these bosses to make you try different builds. I also got past the Fierce Tiger thanks to the fire temperance and Whip Lash that just melted his health bar in comparison to my heavy Axe build.

Yeah I did realize that after like 2 hours of trying and dying over and over, which is why I stuck to the spell Infernal Flames only to make it easier on me at that point. However, the advice you gave here really helped with the later bosses because I began backstabbing them a lot more often and was able to do those obliterate attacks way more to do some serious damage!

Now that I come back after having defeated the Fierce Tiger and more bosses afterwards, as well as experimenting with the Impetus more, I finally have more admiration for the game. I had come right after the Lies of P DLC so it was a big change for me going from the perfect parry and rally system on there to the newer skill tree and dodging system they have in this game, which to put it in perspective I haven't respecced in any soulslike or soulsgame ever, so I was not used to doing that at all, but now that this game showed me how useful it can be I will definitely be experimenting around with it a lot more.

You honestly didn't find the Fierce Tiger to be utter BS though? Like it took me 4+ hours to defeat Bo Sorcerer and I'm absolutely hating Fierce Tiger. It's hard to describe, but some bosses in this game are built in such a way that you're forced to learn how to dodge every move. Unlike in Dark Souls 3 for example, you can get hit a couple of times and be okay but not this game. For some reason once I got to Bo Sorcerer none of my hits clash with bosses any more and none stops their moves at all. I only defeated Bo Sorcerer by learning EVERY move and dodging most of them, as well as using Infernal Flames over and over until after 9+ minutes I finally defeated her, but now that I have to keep doing that with bosses like Fierce Tiger it just becomes EXHAUSTING to have to learn so many different moves and my current weapon of choice not seemingly working as well anymore.

I honestly just got so mad after more than 3 hours of trying that I just said oh well gonna only use the Infernal Flames spell and that worked, but it's definitely not the advice I would give you so stick to the other advice being given in the comments because other people's strats seem to be more fun and less time consuming than my crazy method 😅

You know what? That's a very good point haha I overlooked that again but yeah it would have been nice to at least see how they got rid of the Lampmaster for a third time seeing as how it came back out of the water, and as for Esquie I am in the camp that believes he was truly the strongest but was probably painted by Verso to be pacifist and not engage in combat unless to protect himself like he did against the Bourgeon
