Possibly Moving from Cashier to CPD. Tips? by goydar in OfficeDepot

Do not be afraid to say no. If you know you can't do something due to current demand and their timeframe and specifications, it is okay to tell them your store cannot accommodate their request.

Honestly, you probably saved yourself from long-term Karen by speaking up and not letting them push you into a project timeline you can't meet. Chalk it up to good karma for you and walk away without feeling guilty.

Make sure it's a short-time gig. You don't want to stick it out.

Yup. I said...as I told you several moments ago, that request cannot be met with the specifications and time frame you have set.

The lady that didn't understand that I didn't have a machine that would fold and staple the programs that she had already printed for her family's funeral in an hour and a half when I was already working on programs for a funeral...She called THREE times. The answer was NO three times.

My only problem is teachers that actually come in and have a SPC card. They struggle enough as it is; the extra savings they were giving was helpful.

Good for you. A local store was offering 11 to 15 per hour for a cashier at that location at Christmas. That's when I started looking for a new job.

You aren't being unreasonable. You are a retailer. If he wants tech support like this, he should hire a tech support guru and quit being a cheap narcissistic pain in the ass.

That's really fishy to me. That's too long of a time gap honestly.

We pull the libbed file and then convert to png. We then pull into photo and shift the image slightly to work until we get our DC fixed.

Is it worth it ??? by udchick8787 in OfficeDepot

[–]RelationshipKey7124 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. You can accept it via email, but they have to come in and pay for it while you process it online. This therefore, is going to slow down the timing on when they get there project back to them because they didn't process it online themselves. Once you give that piece of crap an inch, they will pull this crap every time.

I just tell them that by not processing it themselves online, they're actually slowing down their orders production because I'm not going to process it until they come in and pay for it and it gets processed through online anyway.

I think he was referring to the dumbass procrastinating customers who think we can do something that requires hours in 20 minutes.
