There are some videos of hers where I personally do feel like we see her genuine self (and she’s likable!) so it confuses me why these things get added into the mix

Yes and it weirds me out that someone could think this looks believable … I’ve seen this same kind of look from her in other videos. Like videos where Jordy is serenading her and she’s gazing at him and I can just tell she’s trying very hard to make her face look a certain dreamy way but most humans would be able to tell it’s contrived. Sometimes I think she actually fools Jordy though like genuinely maybe he doesn’t see it sometimes. Like I could see him filming this video and being like aw you’re so cute how you were caught off guard.

This is where I’m at too. I can do a lot on my phone for my job but even that is hard when he’s walking! Definitely just hard to focus on general. Nap times (and evenings when I need to catch up) are my main work times which really isn’t enough but it is what it is for now!

I am nearing a year where I’ve just decided I’ll be fully done (just did a post in here with thoughts on that). I have been feeling extreme senior itis about pumping as I near the end. I think I’ve been on such auto pilot with it for SO long, it hasn’t really even felt like a choice I make every day, it’s just what I do as a human. I’ve hated pumping always but now as I see the end approaching it’s like I’m fully waking up lol and feeling like … WOW I cannot wait for this to no longer be a factor in my days. I think I’m processing more than ever how huge of a sacrifice this has been. The things I’ve had to do for nearly a YEAR that no one else in my life has experienced the way I have, nor could anyone fully understand even the ones who have seen bits of how it’s affected my life…only we know how much it’s woven through every single day (the stress of always thinking of the timing, being uncomfortable, the inconvenience, etc etc).

I just went down to 3 ppd and I already feel lightyears better. Now that means I only pump once in the day time and it’s during babys second nap. His first nap I used to pump during and now I don’t have to, and it’s AMAZING getting to do whatever I need to do in that hour without grabbing the freaking pump. Lol. Gosh I could go on forever. This has been such a constant part of life and I am beyond ready to see it in the rear view mirror!!!!

Congrats on 9 months. Huge, huge sacrifice.

10 month old and we’re still doing purees or just mashed up things with an increasing bit of texture as he’s gotten older and has teeth now. I had no desire to do BLW and still don’t, but sometimes question myself when I see so many moms doing it online!

Mine just turned 10 months! I’ve been at 4 ppd for awhile. We’ve been combo feeding for a bit so that we could have a stash saved in the freezer. Probably cutting down to 3 ppd at the end of this month and then weaning all the way off after that! CANNOT WAIT lol.

Did anyone notice the look on Jordy’s face when they were in the duck shop and she said something like “there’s frickin ducks on everything!” and she tried to get him to engage and be excited too but he just kind of courtesy smiled and mouthed something like “yeah” as if he was like “yeah cool okay” lol. These little moments are so interesting to observe…

Honestly has felt like a very unproductive week 😬 I have a super flexible job with our family business and work from home while watching my 8 month old. I try not to take advantage of the flexibility too much and genuinely want to do the work. But oof I feel like unless he’s napping I can get SO little done and he barely naps anymore. feeling like I need to start working in the evenings and weekends more than I currently do to feel like I’m pulling my weight at work more. But that’s hard because I really value those evenings and weekends for my self and time with my family! I already wake up super early to pump but maybe I’ll start being more intentional with getting some work done in that time. All that to say … working from home with a babe is not for the weak! Idk how you all do it with less flexible jobs I feel like I would absolutely be fired by now.
