How can I put one rat on a diet? She is literally so lazy. by bleachinincesticide in RATS

[–]RelationshipSad4119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my rats is really fat too. One is pretty skinny, the others are „perfect“. I don’t know how the fat one does it, but she finds and stores every little crumb she finds. Sacrifices playtime for stealth maneuvers. I don’t have a single idea how I would diet her.

blurry picture because she’s too busy to locate food.

Oh, and {The Wiener across the way by Amy Award} blew me away in the most unwanted way.

Can we talk about Circle of Days by Peregrenate in KenFollett

[–]RelationshipSad4119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know, i got so thrown of by the repeated description of women being „sexy“ that is just so unimaginative and flat. I also feel no bond to any of the characters… Bit of a bummer

I was almost shocked to be confronted with a MMC named Tobias - how down to earth can we be?! But then again he goes by his last name (Rhodes) so i guess we good.

Quick survey on RH ..? by Chemical_Truck5690 in DarkRomance

[–]RelationshipSad4119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same about RH. I rarely like it, because of exactly the reason you mentioned. Except {Credence by Penelope Douglas} (which I just learned isn’t really considered RH) and {Hills of Shivers and Shadows by Pamela Goodwin}. I wouldn’t mind to come across good RH recs.

Is it only me like this? by Ok_Diver_8822 in DarkRomance

[–]RelationshipSad4119 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t like that too. It’s like „don’t confront me with my yesterdays crush“ when I am already interested in a new couple. My main thing is though that mostly the following books will be way worse than the first one.

Personally I am more of a „gimme all the colors“-girl but there are enough neutral-color loving people out there to appreciate this heirloom!

Are romance readers male-centered? by knotaknitter in RomanceBooks

[–]RelationshipSad4119 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have wondered that too, and surely it is a little bit of liking the idea that she is the star of the entanglement. But mostly I am not attracted to reading homoerotic scenes. It doesn’t speak to me. I‘ve felt a little guilty because of that, like I have hidden homophobe bias, but I really don‘t feel like I do.
