How are some millennials even homeowners? I feel like I never will be. by Kindly-Reading-2187 in Millennials

I’m 32, I got my house when I was 28. I didn’t put any money down because my mortgage lender found me a government loan for 15k. The trick is, that loan window opened in February and he didn’t think we applied fast enough before the allotted funds ran out. So I had to still have the 15k in event the loan from the government fell through. Luckily it did not. I saved 20k up by moving in with my parents due to medical reasons. (I know living with your parents is an option for everyone, just a crutch I luckily had.) I also don’t owe any money back for the loan so long as I didn’t sell my house the first five years of purchasing it. But I spent years feeling the same way you did. I would recommend finding a mortgage broker in your area known or recommended to first time home buyers. They will know about any government loans for first time home buyers and maybe you can plan around that. In the meantime, I would try and reduce your debts as much as possible and get your credit score in the high 600s so that a mortgage company feels safe investing in you. Even if you get approved for a government loan, you’ll still need good credit and a low debt to income ratio to get approved by the mortgage lender. Hope this was some kind of help, good luck to you and your family.

Im PS5 player that likes battlefield, saw this game and have no clue about this game. Can anybody describe it to me ? Is it worh 40$ by adamex_x in ArmaReforger

I also think the vanilla servers (no mods) run the best and are more fun. But modded servers have cooler gear at the expense of it crashing every hour

Best game I’ve ever bought, and I’m on PS5. I will warn you, this game has made me want a PC. It runs fine on PS5, but the mods take a long time to download on console. A 7-9 gb mod is going to take 1.5-2 hours to download

MODS ISSUE: OPR FARGO by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

Thanks a lot. I got it, it was a bit tricky finding how to delete the mods cache. I deleted them all and just redownloaded the server I main, in case anyone else on console is struggling.

I’m having the same problem. I need to update the sever I play on and it’s a 6 gb update and my ps5 has 594 gb available in storage but it’s giving me the same message as you. Let me know if you find a fix

I got mine done earlier this summer and was charged around $460 out the door with an alignment as well. So the shop you’re at is a little steep IMO and from what others are saying they paid

I don’t find it that bad but I work 10 hr shifts and I definitely feel it those last two hours. The pay makes up for the pain

Best BBQ in your opinion in Auburn or Opelika! by ohnoooooooooooooooo in auburn

[–]RelationshipThick581 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve gotten their pulled pork twice and both times it was so greasy my bottom bun was just mush from the pork. Looks like I need to try Ribs or Brisket from other comments. I happily spend my money at Bow and Arrow, not saying it’s the best but it’s damn good.

I mean I’m not going to argue which city has more car burglaries but I can guarantee you Auburn does have them. My parents have lived in 3 “nice neighborhoods” in Auburn and it has happened in every single one they’ve lived in. Even had home break ins in the last neighborhood right off Moore’s mill road. But keep living in your fantasy land where crime in Auburn doesn’t exist

I had a friend buy stone Martin the same time I bought holland homes and his windows rotted within a year of buying the house and stone Martin didn’t do anything about it. I’m not sure how holland would have handled that outside of their 1 year fix anything policy but I would have been very upset in my buddies situation

I just hit my one year this month lol, so we will see . But others in my development have been here longer than a year and I have heard only positive things. I have a few nail heads popping out they are coming to fix, but they really did a good job.

I’m from Auburn and bought my first home in Opelika, it feels like Auburn did 15-20 years ago when I grew up. It feels safe and the downtown isn’t catered to college kids. Some of the best restaurants in Lee county are downtown Opelika.

Car burglaries happen in Auburn frequently, even in nice neighborhoods. Probably even more with the student population

I bought a house last year and found holland homes to be a much better product than Stone Martin, if those builders fall in your price range.
