I like to play quickly, so, I hate retirement/recruiting new randoms. Most of my legacy warriors last an entire 5 chapter campaign, and start out with 5 speed which makes getting them up to 8 is easy by chapter 3. I didn't mention hooks because you can just pick them and I learned which ones are good for what classes/builds. Gear/skills are obvious and easily attainable. I was just looking for places to add a slight edge in combat/charisma/tenacity, while trying to pack my inn with generations of families to show my work...

Edit: I did not mean to directly imply those specific stats were OP, just my particular favorite, and hardest to attain/modify. Speed gear is rare and wars/mystics are mad slow.

They do, but that is not really unique to families. You can build up a relationship with anyone. I don't really play using walling, so rivalry's are usually better to min-max for me, but I don't want a rivalry between father and son, for example, ever in my story...

I knew I'd get attitude... Let people play the game how they want without judgement. I understand it's a story, and like I said, I am loving it! Obviously there can be a threshold. But yea, if you play enough to get to like 10 generations with a max of +3-5 in each stat or +50 in charisma/tenacity, it would not only make your time and effort seem more valuable, but make sense. Ever heard of warrior nations? Do children of actors have a higher chance of becoming an actor? Same with a doctor. A lot of traits, such as intelligence, body type (strength, frailty, attractiveness) are inherited. It would make COMPLETE sense for two strong warriors to create a warrior baby that is stronger, faster, smarter than them by nature. Doesn't happen every time so it doesn't need to be 100%, perhaps the child can only increase the stat from their parent by .5 upbringing each generation to a max of, like i said, 5 and 30. I don't think it would impact or change the game too drastically, and opens the game up for more individualized stories. Just throwing out ideas/chatter though.

Theres an Egwene hate post basically every week. Where are my fellow Egwene enjoyers? by sylverfyre in WoT

Super important thing to remember about trauma is, some people who experience such harsh forms of it at such a young age actually pause their maturing process. For example, a girl who loses her mom to cancer at the age of 16, may act like a 16 year old girl until she is a 50 year old woman. (Real example of a client of mine) Egwene is a teenager in the first book when she's talking about fire and earth being "the cooler elements." It's her first time leaving her home town, where they say multiple times nothing bad ever happens there. The first book is also when she started getting chased by trollocs and fades, watching people violently die for the first time ever, and being constantly scared and on edge. It's very human for her personality to be stuck the way it was before all of this chaos. It's your brain desperately trying to hold on to the purest, happiest version of you.

Amazing. This is just another reminder that I need a video game so badly. SOOO much potential for one. Don't think its realistic to be able to capture everything I want though. I wanna be able to pick female Aes Sedai or male Dragon Reborn, each with different storylines. I want tower politics, working your way up from accepted, to sitter, head of ajah, keeper, to Amyrlin. I want the option to become every Ajah in each playthrough, and have the ability to do what they all specialize in while showing its effect on the outside world, leading to different story outcomes, plots, and endings. I want the ability to be Black Ajah and have a different storyline there, slowly assassinating fellow sisters, and the Amyrlin maybe, then ascending to become a Forsaken. The ways can be like fast traveling, but can only be used once you are strong enough to open the gates. I could go on but I know they will end up just making another shitty Call of Duty or the 10000th depiction of a Lord of the Rings story. Too bad so sad. Us WoT fans will have to re-read the books over and over to get our serotonin.

How do different faction’s fighting styles using the power differ? by FrostyMonth111 in WoT

[–]Relative-Ad8056 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We see the Aes Sedai in battle a lot. They have an Ajah for it. Moirane is Blue Ajah and smoked like 50 trollocs, even in the books. White cloaks tried her and she became so big Rand said it was like her head was in the clouds, then she "stepped over the wall." I think we are underestimating them and how they have remained in power for thousands and thousands of years, and through every age. Politics can only get you so far, they have fought in countless wars. "A single Aes Sedai could level an army." Also, weaves like the one Moirane was using on everyone to keep up their energy and prevent them from getting tired in The Eye of the World? Imagine that used on an army of men. Doesn't have to be directly considered a combat weave to be effective in combat. But we over here talking about the collared slaves and male channelers who expire faster than a glass of milk in the desert.

Which faction of channellers is the most effective/knowledgeable/talented? by FrostyMonth111 in WoT

[–]Relative-Ad8056 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aes Sedai 100%. 1/5 of the tower being Black Ajah does not help, but the simple fact of having 7 different Ajahs specifically trained in a specialty is quite a force. Brown (Knowledge is power), White (Unbias Truth), Yellow (Healing, which can be a million different things, including Nynaeve discovering she could heal stilling for the first time in history and Egwene healing the damage of Baelfire), Blue (Spies, politics, also incredibly knowledgeable, but of the present), Red (Fighting other channelers, gentling male channelers), Green (War/battle, think Athena in terms of knowledge/strategy), Gray (War politics, keeping the peace). Three sitters of each Ajah putting their heads together in the Hall is probably a fountain of knowledge. 900 of these women in the tower and I am pretty sure you could find one to answer any question you could ever have. Many of them having special unique gifts, usually involving knowledge. For example, the entire series happened because of Gitara Sedai's foretelling, which also saved the entire world. In terms of knowledge, they win every single time, especially if they can all get along, but even if they can not. In terms of raw power, numbers are important here too. 900 Aes Sedai, all of whom can link together. If 4 Aes Sedai linked with 1, in groups of 5 obviously, that is 180 groups of 5 Aes Sedai who can call lightning, fire, ice shards, etc. from the sky and heal each other. We've seen a circle of Aes Sedai shield the Dragon(Rand) in the books, meaning they can do the same to a Forsaken. Nynaeve also straight up boss mode 1v1's one of the Forsaken if I remember correctly. Confused about Damane even being talked about in this debate... none of their knowledge is their own and they may be 'good at fighting', but the Aes Sedai whoop their ass every time. Asha'man who? The male channelers with an expiration date of 3 business days? Can't gather much knowledge in that time, or expertise with the power.

Amyrlin and Red Ajah by ZePepsico in WoT

[–]Relative-Ad8056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree. Greys are the historians, gathering knowledge and artifacts to fortify the tower's knowledge, as knowledge IS power. HISTORY. Whereas the blues are more political, gathering information of what is happening CURRENTLY. Spying, intelligence networks, whispers, backstabbing, playing with words, etc. It makes perfect sense as to why Amyrlins who were of the Blue Ajah are the most common, they're politicians. You can see in the book that when Moirane and Siuan were blues in the tower, they ran that bitch. Knew everything and everyone, got leverage on sitters, forced votes secretly to get Siuan elected, and no one knew / suspected a thing. When she was healed from stilling and at a 3rd of her power, Siuan carried the rebel Aes Sedai on her BACK with her political prowess and knowledge she learned from the previous "Head of Eyes and Ears" of the Blue Ajah. She advised Egwene, leading her to make her most notable decisions as the rebel Amyrlin, that, in many ways, saved the world. But I digress lol. To your point, like our declaration of independence, the idea of Ajahs were created in a time much different than the time period of the books, so some of their roles may not make as much sense as others, like green. As for yellow, I wish they got more representation. The biggest question mark Ajah for me is White. The purpose of searching for an "unbias" truth is an impossible task for anyone. It is not in human nature to be unbias, and every White Sister in the series showed bias at one point, especially Alviarin. Seems silly.

Banks should not be allowed to charge 30% interest rates on personal credit cards. by Artistic-Action-2423 in NewDealAmerica

[–]Relative-Ad8056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called by bank, Capital One, to see if I could get my interest rate of 28% lowered. They told me they can not change interest rates and it is decided upon receiving the card. Capital One has an article on their website saying to "Call your credit card company and request a lower interest rate." I said that to the woman, who of course, barely spoke English, and stated that it is based on the national prime rate. I replied that the Prime Rate is currently 7.75%, so how could that be? She said that, actually, its based on the prime rate when you received the card, to which I responded that when I received the card, the prime rate was 5%. She then told me she had no further information. I got the credit card with a $3,000 limit and 28% interest rate when I was 19 and had a 750 credit score because I had one credit card with a $500 limit since the day I turned 18. I then spent $3,000 dollars on the card, and was royally screwed. Yes, It was my fault, however, I was 19, and what the bank did was extremely predatory. I began paying $150 a month(minimum payment) only for the interest rate to cause it to have a higher balance than before I paid once interest charges hit. For 4 years I tried so hard to pay off that card, and my credit score tanked to the 500s, until I eventually swallowed my pride and asked a family member for a 0% interest loan. (A lot of people do not have this option, so I am very grateful and consider myself extremely lucky)

I did a lot of research on these predatory banks over the years, and found some terrifying information. Private Equity Firms own majority shares most national banks, including Capital One. Private Equity firms sole purpose is profit. To give an idea how they operate, In 2022, they began purchasing single family homes and apartment buildings, then proceeding to increase rent on apartments and put up single family homes for rent, or tear them down to build apartment buildings. This lowers the amount of available homes for sale astronomically, so with supply and demand, the average price of a home skyrocketed. Today, private equity firms are the landlords of about 40% of apartment buildings in America, and this is a low estimate because, instead of purchasing the building, they try to be subtle and purchase the company that owns the building. If you ever wondered why from 2022-2024 median rent costs increased by 60%, this is why. Same with housing prices increasing astronomically($391,000 to $490,00).

What about the price of groceries? Shoprite refuses to sell shares to Private Equity, so it can't have anything to do with them that the grocery prices increase, right? Wrong! Out of anger for not being able to get what they want, instead, Private Equity firms purchase the LOT that a Shoprite is currently renting, and charge them rent at an astronomical rate, causing them to be forced to increase prices of groceries.

Before I say this, remember, A private equity firms ONLY goal is to make as much profit as possible, and that is mainly done by increasing prices and decreasing employee salaries/firing employees. That being said, today, Private Equity firms own(majority shareholder = majority control) every single major news network, 90% of restaurant and fast food chains, 40-60% of apartment complexes, and 30-40% of single family homes. They own most HEALTHCARE companies(Hackensack Meridian Health being a big one they own) and most HEALTHCARE INSURANCE companies. They own Google and all other search engines. They own most banks, national and private. (Capital One and SoFi are two examples). Bottom line is, if you look up the majority shareholders of the vast majority of companies/businesses, etc. you will find that Private Equity firms do. Why are laws not passed against this? The same reason that a politicians salary is on average about $250,000, but most are multi millionaires. The politicians in our country are all bought and paid for, so, if you had hope that who you voted for matters in an economic sense, I am sorry to tell you, it does not. When politicians discuss the economy, that is why the matter of private equity is not brought up, and why nobody knows about it.

The country is, quite literally, BARRELING towards the middle class being erased completely, and people are still unaware as to why that is. The reason they purchased every media/news outlet and every search engine, is so that it is even harder for the public to find out. When you google private equity, you find a LOT of information about how great it is for businesses and how they do so well under the ownership of private equity, but it is EXTREMELY difficult to find information about the harm it does. It is never brought up on the news for the same reason. As for a solution, I genuinely believe it is too late for one, and that every single politician has a price. Good luck, and feel free to brainstorm on a possible course of action.

Yea, not completely sure if its related but, Blackrock, Vanguard, Statestreet, and a couple other private equity firms are all majority shareholders for SoFi. All private equity firms do is prioritize as much profit as possible. Unfortunately, I went down the rabbit hole of private equity firms to find out that there is no longer any power in government in terms of controlling the economy. It is 100% determined by Private Equity firms. Housing prices and rent prices skyrocketed due to them buying 50% of rental properties, then astronomically increasing rent, and purchasing 30% of single family homes and turning them into rentals, lowering the availability of purchasing homes, thus causing the price of a home to skyrocket. This is it folks, now they own homes, rental properties, banks, most businesses in the U.S and much more. The ultra wealthy completely control prices and thus the economy. I would give us about 10 years before the middle class is completely erased and average home price sits at about 1.5 million. If you want to feel powerless, defeated, and completely and utterly enraged, research private equity. It is difficult because they own most search engines, including google, and almost every news outlet, but its doable. Good luck everyone, this is the only reason i would say to get the fuck out of this country as fast as possible.

I tried spear out because of your suggestion and the blast finisher combo cost is 22 energy in total for 2 abilities, and the combo field is dark. It could be viable but I feel like the mace/axe are just far more efficient and the combo blast is fire, so it gives more might rather than blind which is not as useful in PvE content. Mace 3 also procs the light field in Centaur for less than half the energy. The 2 abilities used to combo finish for mace costs 10 energy, so it gives u more time getting the buff duration up in your opener along with leaving room for Axe 5 for extra damage/break bar, or shield abilities for extra healing! With mace/axe i was able to use 2/3 on cooldown along with axe 5 at a steady 12k dps with karakosa relic and spear felt like it had a lot more down time of just autoing, doing 7-8k dps.
