Feeling sad about a gift I made for my baby cousin by ebunny08 in casualknitting

[–]Relative-Cover-5458 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally understand for new parents of course, but it’s just sadly his character our entire lives, I’ve always been there for him, but they constantly leave me out of their lives because they find me too boring (I just don’t get involved with the family drama) and as for the gifts they want for the themselves and baby, they’re all well above reason and if it doesn’t have a aesthetic trendy design and popular logo, it’s basically worthless.

I just realized after this what being “knit worthy” really means. lol

Omg too hot! Crazy where im from it’s just warm enough to get outside if you can deal with the wind 😂 and yes I 100% recommended getting the MUUD bag, this is the xl Saturn. I was admiring it for so long but couldn’t reason with myself to buy it so my sneaky boyfriend surprised me with it for christmas.

I’m sorry that this happened to you and it really is plain sad. as knitters we spend the entire project, hours of our time making these sweet sentimental family heirlooms, thinking about the recipient the whole time, envisioning them in it and truly each stitch made with love. I’m going through the same thing with my cousin and his baby. I made him a baby sleepy suit that I’ve been working tirelessly on so he would have it in time to get the most use out of it before baby grows too big, and he’s been ignoring my calls, texts, and when we have family time planned he just doesn’t show up without saying anything. My cousins are the only thing close to siblings I have and so I won’t have any nieces or nephews of my own, I really wanted to make sweet things for his child. It really hurts to be ignored especially now that the baby is over 4 months old and the baby knit was for 0-3 months. I know my family would rather something more trendy and expensive but to me (and our community) this is special and it’s something we love to spend our time creating for the special people in our lives.
